'Another day, hmm? babuji did say to go home and you know let's not give them anymore ammunition.' She slanted him a look. 'what you did this morning, well...I doubt they would forget for a long time...'

'And who's fault is that?,' Krishna leaned forward and smiled, baring his teeth. 'I've not forgotten it was you who took all my clothes...' he started forward, his body suggesting retribution. Pratigya automatically started going backward, her heart beating like drums.

'What are you going to do!" She screamed with laughter as he leant forward and hefted her into his arms, just like last night. She looked around, agony of delight and embarassment warring inside her. "Krishna, choro....!! what if someone see's us?'

'I don't care. Didn' you challenge me last night?.....this is my gundagiri...'

Krishna started walking, Pratigya on his shoulders, smiling while joy filled him..............

When he got to his bike, it had stopped raining. He started his bike and Prats held on to him one arm snaking around his waist as her other hand rested on his shoulder for support.. Krishna and Prats were headed home.

As soon as they arrived, Prats rushed to her room to change while Amma and SS began their taunts. "Youare roaming around town with your wife while the other women do all the work". Maharani thinks we are her servants to take care of her meals while she is prancing around town with you.

Krishna was tired of his mother's constant attacks on Prats. "what is your problem? Did she ask you to cook for her? You cook for everyone here, we went out today for a little while, stop sounding so dramatic about everything" he said.

SS stepped in and said "you are still knee deep in your majnugiri. How about thinking about doing something worthwhile with your time besides running around your wife like a little puppy all the time. She's not going anywhere".

Krishna didn't respond. He headed straight to his bedroom where Prats had changed and was getting ready to go and help Kesar in the kitchen.

Krishna asked her to stay put and not go out just yet. He didn't want her to listen to his mother's taunts and spoil the mood. He took her hand and said "come on, we are going out again."
Prats tried to tug her hand away and said "Krishna we just got back and dinner time is fast approaching, I have to go and help Kesar she is doing all this alone. Krishna put a finger to her lips and said "Chup, don't say anything, just follow my lead, everything will be fine".

She asked him to let go of her hand, he turned and stared at her "you are my wife, this is not the first time they have seen me holding your hand, let's go".

He led her to the center stage of the house with determined strides.

"Don't wait for us. We are dining out. We will be back later" he said.

SS asked him "what, you think this is some kind of dharmashaala that you can come and go as you please? You just went out with your mehraroo and got back home. Where are you going off to roam again?"

"Bauji, I am taking Pratigya, my wife out to dinner. I had planned to all along, We came home first bec' we were drenched in the rain. Why are you making such a big deal out of it. This is the first time I am taking my wife out to dinner, so don't ruin my mood now. You guys enjoy the meal at home. I'll see you at breakfast tomorrow".

"Achcha, so now your wife is also joining you while you stay out all night, besharamee aurath" said Amma bitingly.

Krishna ignored her and holding Pratigya's hand led her out the front door. He turned around stopped for a moment at the door, turned around and looked at his parents before he turned the corner and disappeared out of sight still holding Prats's hand firmly in his grip as they mounted the stairs to his bike.😃

The restaurant that Krishna took Pratigya to, was one she would not forget soon. It was huge, crystal chandeliers hung like teardrops reflecting and dazzling at the same time. Discrete waiters hovered around providing first class service.

Krishna's eyes softened looking lovely at d love of his life.............."Krishna pick up d phone" suddenly krishna was shaken to reality......on d other side was SS......asking him to come home...........kesar had taken ill......

Pratigya watched the light dim in Krishna's eyes as he listened to whoever was on the phone.

Krishna hung up and said 'That was bauji - we need to get home now as Kesar has taken ill' ....... Pratigya was instantly concerned....'What did he say was wrong? Was it the baby?"....... "He did not go into any details" Krishna replied..

He signaled the waiter, paid the bill and they left. On their way out, they passed by Aman's table and Pratigya said a quick good bye.

Krishna noticed the woman still starting at him..... He thought to himself "Why does she keep doing that? At first I wasn't really paying attention and , I wasn't concerned much about it - I mean, how could I? .........My darlin's radiant face had me enthralled".......

They hurried out of the restaurant, got on the bike and zoomed off home.

On the way the bike stops. Krishna and Pratigya gets off the bike. Krishna sees the tire has punchered.
'abb yaha pe tire kahan se le aaon" said krishna while looking around the place where they were stucked.
Its a forest on both sides, and they couldnt see any ppl, or any house. Pratigya got scared as it was all dark and plus they have to go home asap.
Krishna took out his mobile to call at home, but battery is too low that mobile got switched off automatically and so he couldnt contact any one. "damn ye battery ko bhi abhi khatam hona tha, abb lagta hain humko chal ke jaana parega" Krishna said To Pratigya
"kya? itni door?" said Pratigya
"arre tumko saari raasta chal nahin jaana, baas thodi dur chalon, shayad kauno rickshaw, ya taxi mil jaaye" said Krishna
"thik hain" Pratigya nodded

And they both started to walk. Both are silent for few moments until it is raining
