What i Think is Anurag knows that he is married to Tani and he can never reject that fact so he might be thinking that Laboni willl not bring a Good Guy for Tani as she i doing Tani's Marriage only for her challenge but frankly speaking not that she is Tani's mother or she loves her . So he might thought in that way

So he thought atleast he can get a Good and caring Guy than him to Tani by saying that he is her pati and he wil find a Nice Guy to Tani ..I know your guys are confused but This Anurag is confusing me yaar
