Day Four. Two very interesting stunts, some brilliant performances, and some shockingly disappointing ones. And I thought both stunts required more mental alertness and focus, than anything else. Here's my round up, in random order.
Stunt Six
This was by far the best stunt on the show for me, till now. The whole idea was brilliant, and watching the contestants do it was even more brilliant, each time.
Dino Morea...now that's what I'm talking about. Focus, balance, agility, and quickness...just about everything you need to pull this one off. And did he pull it off or what. Eleven flags! Absolutely fantastic! Go Dino!
Shabbir Ahluwalia...and that's also what I'm talking about. Did everything right, got into the groove, and aced it. Awesome! And he did even better than Dino in terms of time. Plus, I always see this hunger to get it right in him, no matter what it takes. Close match, and awesome to watch. Oh yeah.
Abhishek Kapoor...quite a surprise, he was. Six flags, and nice and calmly done.
Terence Lewis...really, really good again. And I loved how he used his knowledge of his own field, to make it work for him here. Seven flags, and the longest duration inside the tube. Good stuff.
Rahul Bose...very well tried. I agree with PC, the way he hung on for those two rounds was very cool. One flag, but good attempt nevertheless.
Ritwik Bhattacharya...well done, again! Six flags, and a very good attempt. Niiice!
Rahul Dev...first one to go, and that did seem not to be to his advantage. Fumbled and fumbled some more right in the beginning, and couldn't manage even one flag.
Karan Singh Grover...major disappointment. The quickest to fall off the tube, and so sudden that it took a few seconds to register. He completely miscalculated his footing, and hurt himself pretty bad along the way too. Just one flag.
Armaan...I honestly thought he'd do great. But even he managed just one flag. He tried longer and better though.
Angad Bedi...again, couldn't do well enough. Tried, and lost. Even floundered with a flag, which fell into the water before he could attach it.
Stunt Seven
This didn't seem such a tricky stunt, actually. Required focus, presence of mind and level-headedness, which is where most people slipped. Well, the first two anyway.
Angad Bedi and Karan Singh Grover...I was equally disappointed with both. More than anything else, because neither of them really gave it that much of an effort. Not in the first go, at any rate. Both pairs just hung there. Angad's partner still tried a bit, but Angad didn't seem to be able to stay in the water at all. Much like Angad was Karan's partner, who barely moved. And eventhough Karan made a few attempts, they were very feeble and not at all up to the mark. I hate having to say this, but theirs were the two worst performances so far on the show.
Rahul Bose...Super Annie does it again. And how! Loved the little jig she did inside the tank, once her bit was done. And you've got to admire Rahul for how calm and unruffled he was in there, crabs or no crabs. Niice.
Armaan Ebrahim...good job, dude! Eventhough Madhura didn't really attempt her part of it, he's the contender here and he did fabulously. So there.
Rahul Dev...surprise, surprise. He actually did this one quite well! Managed to get the lock open, and get the lid on too!
The tie-breaker...So Karan stays on, and unfortunately not because he did well, but because Angad's partner gave up. It was a head on face-off, and she panicked. A little to Karan's credit, he did try this time round. Like, really tried properly, something he didn't do the first time. But still, I think PC was quite correct in pointing out to him that he still needs to prove his mettle. Let's see how he does next time. Sad that Angad had to go, but then he didn't do either of the stunts well, so fair enough.
Whopper of the Day : Dino and Shabbir. I have no words for how brilliant they were in the first stunt. Damn right. 👏
Shocker of the Day : Angad and Karan in the second stunt. I had really expected them both to do much better. I suppose everyone has their bad days. And today was theirs. Hope Karan does better next time.
Pat on the Back of the Day : Terrence in the first stunt. Really, really well done. And some patience and endurance that is, to stay in the tube that long, hang on to clear the same gap three times, and immediately pick yourself up right after clearing it. Well done! 👍🏼
Okay, so that's a wrap of Week One. Next week's stunts seem quite interesting too. And surprisingly, I saw both Shabbir and Dino in the second stunt, in the precap. Are the safety bands still there? Or did they just have a bad first stunt? Guess we'll just have to wait and see. Until then, would love to know what you guys thought about today! 😊
Take care and Cheers, everyone! 😃
