Loved your post !! :) Your analysis of the characters is spot on.
I do feel for Armaan and I understand that loosing the love of your life is devastating but I do wish that he would look around and see that there are things in his life that are worth being grateful for.
As for Shilpa as the quote goes "Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all " . I'm anticipating the ArSh love story but at the same time apprehensive because we all know that one way or another Shilpa is going to be hurt and smashed to pieces.

As for Sidhima my heart goes out to Sid and the situation he is in and Ridz honestly she confuses me LOL, I just hope that she doesn't hurt Sid.
