Jai Kalra in Rajshri production film
Jai Kalra, who recently appeared in STAR One's Horror-Mera Saaya, will soon be donning the role of a big screen actor, as he will be seen in a movie called Love You, Mr Kalaakar, as the antagonist.
The film is produced by Rajshri banner. We caught up with the actor where he spoke of his transition to the big screen
"I feel fortunate enough to be the part of this film. The Rajshri banner has given us films like Maine Pyaar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hain Kaun. In this film, I play the role of Manohar Awasthi who is a general manager of a company, where Tushaar Kapoor works."
Although Jai admitted that his role is a negative one, he isn't a hardcore villain. The role, he says, has shades of gray. "It's about cutthroat competition that exists in the industry today," he says.
Further he said my character has negative touch,well its not an hard-core negative.Its about how to leave in the cut throat competition leaving behind all the Indian values and customs. The film deals with today's corporate style and how a person gets affected traditionally and morally. The film will be liked by the youth and I am hoping that this film would give new heights for all who have worked so much for the film to make a successful."
The actor really loved to be the part of this film and he enjoyed working with Tushaar Kapoor,Amrita Rao and Ram Kapoor.
The film shooting will end in October and is slated to release next year in 2011
