These CV's are geniuses. Now I realize it was soo required that Maan be drunk for this scene!
They had to have Pari trick him into drinking initially because its not in Maan to wantingly loose control.
So once his mind got a little freedom , the effect of the disco, music , alcohol, mixed with his such strong emotions for geet, the happiness of her actually coming there, what that implied , and the frustration of waiting for her confession....
All that drugged his mind and THAT was required for what was to come!
We needed Maan's heart and mind to be slightly uncontrolled so he could be in that trance and do what he had been aching to. To hug Geet, feel that elation of having her in his arms, then run after her and stop her, and again question her.
Had Maan not been drunk, the slightest hesitation from Geet, her resistance, and tears would have stopped him dead in his tracks and he would have been defensive again(like we see him do in the morning).
His senses were drowsy, and immersed in Geet , for a man who was so darn in control and prided in having no emotion, that was the excuse to feel fully like a man in love, with no pretense and excuses.
he insisted on telling Geet who he cared for, even after she implicitly denied wanting to know.
We could see the full shock of rejection on his face when Geet pushed him away. Yes he was NOT EXPECTING that in the least!
And since he was drunk his expressions were unguarded. We could see the full hurt. We could also see him trying to make sense out of wat was happening , cuz even after her harsh words and actions he wanted to wipe her tears.
His tottering gait, his shocked eyes, the pain and then the tears. the CV's have etched his character brilliantly, had us witness the desperate-vulnerable-lover inside without compromising his character!
Gurmeet is an actor par excellence, and so is Drashti. I am in absolute awe of these two. Maan and geet!! DAMN they are sooo FREAKING s*XY! set the screens ablaze, set hearts thumping ad people like us going obsessed and mad!!!
