sia brings gutki home and treats her bruises and wounds with raghav helping her.sia asks her why she has been treated that way gutki says that her father inspite of being rich married her off to shivsharan because he thought she was a burden as she was ugly and dark complexioned.sia asks gutki if she was beaten up daily and asks raghav to see how badly gutki has been beaten.gutki now feels insecure as she has no place to go.but raghav arranges for a small room for gutki for resting.gutki leaves and rasia are talking about how they feel that india has progressed while studying in schools and universities in delhi and how the situation is entirely different in rural india where people have still lot to learn.raghav says the change in veerpur should be brought by both of them.they hear a knock on the door.raghav opens the door with sia following him to see ammaji standing outside with shagun.she tella rasia that she has come as a MIL and not as ammaji with shagun for her grandson.she tells rasia that her grandson need not be born on streets but should be born in the heilli with all the comforts and that because of sia's pregnancy they should come home.she tells sia it is not the time to stress herself with elections as she needs complete rest during pregnancy.she asks sia to take back her nomination and come back home so that she can protect her grandson.she tells sia that her penchant for standing for election would be fulfilled the next time as she herself would file sia's nomination papers but to relent this time .raghav tells ammaji that it is her fear of defeat which has brought ammaji to their doorsteps.raghav gives her the ladoos she has brought and tells her it is for the victory of his wife and when she becomes a grandmother he will come with sweets to the heilli to celebrate .he tells ammaji that they didnt leave the heilli because of arrongance but came out to protest against all the injustice happening in the heilli and veerpur and will not return until they eradicate them.ammaji tells raghav she came there for her grandson's sake and not for thr fearof losing the election.she leaves saying thatshe couldnt bear her son's injury like that she will not bear anything happening to her grandson.the villagers disperse with saying that sia has raghav completely under her control and that she made raghav utter all the disrepectful words and that she has sinned taking a son away from his mother.they also feel that sia will fall on ammaji's feet after she has lost her election.
jogi is sitting with his henchmen who has stolen the voters id of the women of veerpur.together they laugh at how sia is going to lose the election as the women in veerpur will not be able to vote.ammaji enters just then and jogi relates that all their problem to be solved as without the id the women will not be able to vote.she says the women have been taken care of and asks about the men who have rasia have spoken to. jogi says the men are being taken care of by gaji.gaji assembles all the men of kasbah and says that he is talkng to them not because of fear of losing the election as sia cannot defeat ammaji .he saysthat ammaji would win but he will ensure that sia will not get one vote too.he tells them sia had left the heilli in defiance and whether they would keep a DIL like that in their houses.he also says that awoman who is not able to manage a house of loving inlaws would not be able to manage veerpur.all the men agree and all of them shout slogans supporting ammaji and agree to gaji's request asking them not allow their wives to vote for sia as she would spoil them.all of them vow to support ammaji.
