I didnt have anyprobs with Geet's preg till they showed Geet never minding those risky falls.. and tht CVs r not protraying her pregnancy issue as a future issue Betn her, Maan and Geet... thts y its necessary to keep Geet and us reminding tht indeed she is pregers by one or the other signs and symptoms and doctor visits or at least taking care of herself for sake of her kid..

Guys, having seen that the CVs have confounded us at every turn-- it wouldn't surprise me if the way Maan finds out about the pregnancy is when Geet falls over/ injures herself/ is attacked/ something.

She'll then scream out "mera baccha, mere bacche ko bachao" or some such, at which point he'll have to look after her and deal with the whole realisation thing simultaneously.

This has been done is countless MBs, and one has to admit, much of Geet's ebb and flow is very similar to MB-style.

BTW, am also in the medical field, and posted on this topic a while ago; suffice it to say I agree with the OP and also with Amna-- one can live a normal life during pregnancy-- if a miscarriage is going to happen it will, and very few minor injuries will trigger it (things like major trauma, RTCs etc, thats a different matter).

I work in the Emergency department, and deal with women having miscarriages-- one question they almost always ask is "why did this happen" or "what did I do that caused this"-- the most important thing to remember is that miscarriages are NEVER the mothers fault (unless she's been hard-core abusing her body, but thats a different topic)-

20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage naturally-- virtually none of those are because of something the mother did. The opposite to that is that if a miscarriage is going to happen there's virtually nothing you can do to stop it-- no matter how much care or attention you give-- it will happen. Jo hona hota hai, woh to hotahi hai.

So, to the youngsters reading this topic-- you can be normal during pregnancy-- that doesn't mean you should go in for extreme sports, or snowboarding or skiing etc, where major abdominal trauma is possible-- but you can do whatever your body lets you!

thanks for the much needed post, eveline- frankly, i was getting a tad sick of all d arguments.

I would however like to add that the creatives need not be blamed so much for their portrayal of pregnancy. I know that there is need for some authenticity, but while creating a work of art they have something called a creative license that gives them some freedom. SO....😊

yes I agree Tara... but she is just 18 and that too from a small town ... and we have already seen her family.... maybe she doesn't know ... she is too naive ... it is possible becoz I have seen such things in small towns and villages in India ... they just go to the midwife that's it ... but here in Geet's case there is no one to guide her .... and she is too young and naive to now it on her own
