Deepika Padukone has now joined the cast of Dostana 2, while John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan will continue from the ending of the first part. Katrina Kaif has been signed in to play the lead.
Sources reveal that the makers have already spoken to Deepika and she has given the nod. However, the film that was planned to start in August this year has now been delayed, a source said. It will now start somewhere next year.
Apparently sources say, "Karan was unhappy with the way the story of Dostana 2 had shaped up. Keeping this in mind, Karan has postponed the shooting of the film till the changes are made and the script gets okayed by him."
Meanwhile Deepika has not confirmed being part of Dostana 2. "I am talking to the producers, but nothing has been confirmed. For now I am looking forward to Yash Raj Films Lafangey Parindey, Ashutosh Gowarikar's Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Se and Danish Aslam's Break Ke Baad," said Deepika.
