Mohit as Devdas Outranks Arjun

Arjun is a stable actor in terms of acting. He usually gives an outstanding performance. But, I must say in the role of Devdas, Mohit outranks Arjun. Every time he enters the character of Dev, Mohit becomes the show stealer. The following is an excerpt from the Devdas scene on 27th of July:

(Gunjan)

Roshni diyao ko chod deti hai Dev

Aur Dev, Dev to kabhi Paro Ka tha hi nahi

(Mayank)

To tumne kabhi Dev ko samjha hi nahi jo' (Mayank leaves it off)

(Samrat takes over)

Tumne Dev ko kabhi nahi samjha jo hamesha tumhare liye rota tha

Us diye ki roshni tum thi Paro, mein nahi

Kyon chod kar chali gayi mujhe

Ek baar bhi nahi poocha

Dev tum theek to ho?

Diye kay roshni nay tumhare dil mein aag to nahi laga di?

Ek baar, ek baar toh peechay murr kay dekha hota

Who aag ab bhi jal rahi hai Paro

Kaash, Kaash kay tum ek baar ruk jaati

How did he manage to bring all that pain in his eyes? How did he bring himself to give those expressions? To be honest, I think even Sanaya was not a perfect match for him in this particular scene (This is not to say she didn't do a good job, but that Mohit gave an unprecedented, excellent and wonderful performance!).

Don't worry Samrat, as Diya said, "pyaar kabhi khatam nahi hota." No matter what route she takes, she'll find you standing at the end of the road.

Outranks? I thought the content would talk about the IF rankings...at least that's what I assumed, seeing that AB OUTRANKS Mohit in this week's rankings on IF...but outranking somebody based on playing a character within a character????!?!?!?! kya jhool hain bhai? LOL 😲

Also show ki phat rahi hain...I don't think either Mohit or AB have to try too hard to achieve the Devdas effect! LOL
