STOP THE BI-WEEKLY WITH IMMEDIATE EFFECT

SONY and FIREWORKS sorry to inform you but your Bi-Weekly experiment is a DISASTER. All those people who took the decision are not aware how cursed they are, possibly even more than the worst terrorists. You have killed our CID. What are we seeing these days? In the name of double dose, you have taken away everything we loved about our favorite show. You have butchered it totally.

We know, after the CID Special Bureau fiasco you got your lesson that anything that is remotely CID will not work if it does not have the TRIO (ACP, Daya, Abhijit). So this time you got three new jokers into the original team and spoilt the whole chemistry of the show. Investigations have no connection; people in the lab & bureau not on crime scene and people on the crime scene not in the lab. People walk in and out of scenes as if it's not investigation but a JOKE. People shoot purely based on availability and not based on flow of the case. This "shoot on availability" policy is a bogus way to keep going. Sorry to say but you did not learn the lesson correctly and fully. We see CID for the TRIO means their interactions, their discussions, their bonding and their chemistry. Not just see them individually in a disconnected investigation which has no flow and no head or tail. Last time when you went wrong it cost you your CID Special Bureau series but if you don't get your act together soon we dread it's going to cost you, CID itself.

We are being offered such rubbish these days that it is not funny. Looks like people from the road are picked to write some crap and just for the heck to finish an episode it is filmed. It's not that we did not see bad cases before but it was with our original team. They would keep us engrossed with their performances. But now where are they? All we get to see is a new person Sachin showing his face in every frame and mouthing 90% of the dialogs. You can please change the name of this show to SID aka Sachin Investigation Department and forget us (fans) for good. We cannot tolerate this nonsense anymore. Hrishikesh Pandey, Manini Mishra and Jasveer may be big names in the TV industry but in the CID world our team is the biggest star. Tomorrow if you got the biggest Bollywood star and gave him more prominence than our team members we will not like that either. With no offense meant to the artists, it's just that they do not fit in. They are misfits in the CID Team and need to go. Since these new people have come in there is a struggle to distribute work and give proper screen time. Freddie Sir, Vivek and Tasha have been reduced to extras. Bi-weekly would have been an ideal opportunity for these three to make their presence felt, but you took it away from them. ACP, Daya and Abhijit are also struggling for existence. Since last so many cases, Daya Sir is missing from crime scene in the beginning, comes somewhere in the middle from thin air and then vanishes again in the climax and confessions. Sometimes when he is there in the climax he is a mere spectator. Abhi Sir has been fortunate to appear at the right places with the right dialogs to make his presence felt yet not enough. But this royal ignore for Daya Sir is going way beyond tolerable limits. ACP Sir is the only one who can bind a case with his presence but he too isn't getting enough screen time.

We feel we (fans) are the only people who love the show. The people, who are making it and showing it, give a damn. They are only interested in the money, while show can go to hell. For the past 5 years we are seeing the same blue colored office (did not even care to change the color of the walls in all these years), same furniture, same bungalows you shoot in, same streets, same support cast (sometimes even before we know what the case is we know who is the criminal), same 'khoon', same 'laash'. Where is the novelty? Even our cast members are not given new clothing for years. Since how long are we seeing Daya Sir in that blue shirt and Abhi Sir in that orange shirt. THIS IS SONY's No.1 SHOW and look at the production values. Your Aahat registers lesser TRPs than CID's Re-Runs (repeat telecasts of older cases) and this is how you treat the show. Look at Aahat's production value and look at CID. You take us and our love for our TRIO for granted. We see the show for them but now you don't give us that either. Whenever you feel fans are drifting away we are treated with a case where one from our DUO (Daya & Abhijit) land on the death bed. That's all you know to do.

FOR GOD's SAKE, stop this bi-weekly nonsense with immediate effect. CID was at its best when when it was a half-hour weekly, then came one-hour weekly and things started to fall apart but atleast the TRIO was there together. Now with bi-weekly we have hit rock bottom. A Crime show needs time time to develop a plot, this is no daily soap. If you want to have it bi-weekly then show one case in two parts like it was in the good old times. AND Get back to original team strength - ACP, 2 Senior Officers (Daya & Abhijit), 2 Junior Officers (Fredericks & Vivek), 1 Lady Officer (Tasha) and 1 Forensic Expert (Dr. Salunkhe). That's all who are needed in an investigating team. Invest in this show; it is giving you returns, get better support cast, get better writers, better stories. Please chuck the complacency. THIS IS OUR PLEA TO SAVE OUR FAVORITE SHOW, ANYONE THERE WHO CARES????????????????

===========================================================================

TRYING TO FIND METHOD TO THE MADNESS

Let me clarify, what seems bashing and harsh at times comes from concern and ultimately love for the show else we have no personal vendetta against anyone. We are constantly mocked at for going crazy over a TV show, considered even stupider for getting worried for it. Our parents tell us to grow up, behave our age. Our Siblings and Friends make fun of us and more about the show. We go defending it. So many of us are working people, some in collage, we have enough things to keep us busy but still we come back here every day because CID makes us happy. It's been part of like half our lives.

We talk about FW using its brains and taking the right decisions. Does that mean we hate them? No, we understand what difficulty they are facing. How can we hate a Production house which gave us our all time favorite show? We know our actors are working double shifts. Sometimes they are under water for 6 hours, sometimes up all night shooting. We know, it's difficult. People have seen our dislike for Sachin, does that mean we hate HP? No, no way. Why will we? We know he is working equally hard. Some people from the forum have met him and have only good things to say about him as a person. But when he is Sachin, most of us are not able to accept this new character and even more his over-exposure. The thought of disrespecting Singh Saab can never even cross our minds. We are all indebted to him. We love him and respect him even more. We just keep calling out to him to come back. It's been months since he directed CID.

We also realise that CID can't be what it used to be once upon a time, simply because we do not have the same people behind the scenes. We understand there are pressures, deadlines to meet and other difficulties; we are not stupid impractical fans. We have a decent level of intelligence too but when a fan speaks, it's mostly from the heart.

The bi-weekly system has been hastily and unevenly organized from the start and it's truly painful to see the efforts of the actors be underwhelmed because of a poor plot, and often screenplay. If you see the episode threads, you'll see there has been a constructive analysis of every episode as soon as it's aired (everything from the acting to technical details), yet for every good episode there seem to be ten mediocre ones.

I totally agree with @DemonStar. It can be clearly seen that the bi-weekly system has not been planned properly, not much thought has gone into it. Every production house needs to understand their audience and should know the reasons why their particular show is liked. However FW and SONY have not given this aspect much thought. The promo when the Bi-Weekly started boasted about "Double Dose" but no one gave the thought to - at what cost. At the cost of what is liked in the show? Then what is the use of this double dose to the fans? Today all that we loved about the show is taken away. We are not expecting anything like CSI that is not even on our expectation list but a decent logical and practical flow is not too much to ask for.

It seems like SONY said - 'FIREWORKS we want CID twice a week'. Bang FW went and got 3 new people on board. Boom you suddenly have a Battalion Brigade of 11 people struggling for screen time, work distribution goes for a toss, investigations have no connection, in short a total mess. Did anyone give it a proper thought? Foresight? You suddenly get a new guy bossing over Freddie Sir who has been around for 12 years. It may seem like a silly thing to point out but for Fans, it matters. Did anyone realise why Vivek and Tasha manage to make a place in our hearts? Apart from improving their acts, they came at the end of the hierarchy and when there was a need. These 3 new people have come out of nowhere, for no reason. Since these new entries have come in Freddie Sir, Vivek and Taasha have been reduced to extras. There is nothing exceptional that Sachin and Kajal are doing that could not have been achieved among the three of them. And the worst, absolutely unnecessary entry is Dr Sonali Barwe, none other than Dr Salunkhe's bickering classmate (cringe-worthy). This defies all logic, when we already have 2 people which seemed like too much as it is, why did we need a third expert? A hasty decision without much thought. More than new actors we needed better script writers and directors who could share the work load. It's not just the actors who are over worked, the creative team is equally over worked.

Worse is they did not prepare their audience for this. 4 days before bi-weekly we get to know CID will now come twice a week with a 11 member team. CID is a rare show; it's not like any other Crime Investigation Series. This is about a team, mysteries yet character driven. We never understood why someone like SONY who is always on the OTT Promotion mode, never cared to promote that 'CID Turns Bi-Weekly'.

It is still time to give Bi-Weekly a serious thought and get things in order. If the Bi-Weekly is here to stay, thinking of what can be done to keep all the three parties happy SONY, FW and Fans.

Continue with Bi-Weekly but deal with only one case per week. Show one case in two parts with the original team. This will also give the creative team a breather to develop investigative plots. I don't see why this can't be done. We have already seen that cases like Khoon Ka Raaz Jahaz Mein, Sr. Inspector Abhijit and Manali Murder had a Running Time of 60 minutes each and Airtime of 90 minutes with the original team. So we can have two episodes covering one case of 30 minutes Running Time each. It is observed that Comedy Circus which is aired before CID on Fri-Sat runs till 10:10 PM, which means till 11:00 PM we have 50 minutes. So a CID episode with a running time of 30 Minutes and Airtime of 50 minutes can be created with the original team. This give SONY its bi-weekly, FW Creative Team a breather, lesser work load on the cast and we get our TEAM BACK.

FW please give this a serious thought, discuss it with SONY and tell them fans are suffering. This could be the best way to go forward. Don't pat your backs with initial TRPs, please get you act together before it is too late. If we get our original team back, their bonding back, TRPs will rise further. You will have a happy audience.

completely agree.................... 👏 👏.............u included all the points............& i also feel.......production house really need to pull up their socks.........coz if they dont........they might loose many audience.......& eventually they will be sacked by the channel.........which we cant afford................so singh sahab....& creative team, production as a whole............ come up with something exciting, innovative which keep us audience hooked................ 😃 😃......................
individually we have our own prferences of our fav CID officers..........so it wud be better if they give equal screen space to all actors............if its not possible in the 1 hour show........then i guess...... new entries can be sent back 4m where they came............coz they are effecting our fav trio of ACP-ABHI-DAYA.......... 😃 😃............
HOPE THEY GET THE MESSAGE SOON........& some actions are taken by the production house....... 👍🏼(they really need this)

Since last so many months, I have been doing some other work simultaneously ,along with watching CID shows aired on Fridays and saturdays. And with no regret I can say that more than 50% of the time I have drifted away to sleep. I have simply switched off my TV and gone away to sleep. And again, I have no shame in saying that next morning, I was not even curious to find out what happens later on in the case.. I have not been inspired enough to watch so many of the lately aired shows right upto CID under fire. I slept midway even yesterday and day before.😡
And contrary to this, I watch re-runs shown in the afternoon with rapt attention, and try not to miss any of the old cases.
Need I say anything more???.
In friday's episode I so fed up with seeing Saching everywhere...🤢🤢🤢

No, prabha, no one cares. How many times we, all the members of IF are complaining about the poor quality but everything is in vain. They do not read all these and do not have any intention to improve. They are satisfied with the TRP
One thing strikes me, why do Sivaji Satam, Dayanand shetty, Aditya Srivastav do not protest against it. They are attached with CID for long 12 years, they must have an emotional bond with it. I know they are professional artists, but still.........

Just after making epsiode once they (creatives) should be made sit and watch, after that ask them can you see anything interesting list them. once or twice bad episodes are OK we can still tolerate but it looks like nothing is on its place right now, if they can't do justice how can fans do justice then.

Yeah I wonder if they sit through this non-sense themselves. I guess only the editor sits through because of the nature of his job. Wonder if even he sees the final edit. I am so frustrated.
