Avika 'Anandi' Gor says she will miss Balika Vadhu
Mumbai: Child actress Avika Gor of Balika Vadhu fame says the character of 'Anandi' was a milestone in her life and it taught her a lot about acting.As the show takes a five-year leap, Avika, who bids adieu to the soap, said, "The role that I played is definitely a milestone in my life as it gave me a lot of recognition. It was challenging, but I learnt a lot about acting from this show."
The lessons learnt here - be it the dialogue delivery, body language and displaying variety of emotions - will definitely help in future, the 14-year-old TV star said.
Balika Vadhu, set up in rural Rajasthan, deals with the issue of child marriage. The two-year-old show on 'Colors' channel focuses on the journey of a child-bride, who fails to have a joyful childhood and gets bound by strict customs.
"I am totally against the practice of child marriage as the child cannot enjoy his/her childhood and is left uneducated. Studies are very important," the chirpy girl said.
Avika, who essayed the role of young bride 'Anandi' married to an equally young boy Jagdish, said, "I will miss everything about the show and everyone associated with it. More importantly, playing games in the vanity van."
The Std VIII girl said offers are pouring in. "I have a lot of offers from both film and television. The details are being worked out."
