Aksshat on a 'big' roll - Article

Kolkata's Raj Saluja prefers being addressed as Aksshat. "Raj is my pet name. People know me by this name. But after being part of Zara Nachke Dikha 2, I became well-known as Aksshat," says the actor who marked his Bengali debut with Haranath Chakraborty's Jor Jar Muluk Tar, which will release soon.

The actor is all set to make his Bollywood debut with Sachin Pilgaonkar's yet-to-be titled triangular love story. "I am a big fan of Sachin's acting and I am sure that a good actor will transform into a good director. I am looking forward to working with him," says Aksshat.

Ask him if he is interested in more Bengali outings and the actor answers, "It was a pleasure working with Harada and Bumbada (Prosenjit Chatterjee). Both taught me the nuances before the camera. I would love to be part of more such ventures."

For the uninitiated, Aksshat had shot a soft drink commercial with King Khan. Any more such offers? "I was supposed to shoot another soft drink with SRK this year. Sadly, he could not work out the dates and the project is on hold," adds the actor, who is eagerly waiting for Bhavna Talwar's Happy to hit the theatres. He plays a negative character in this film.
