I can understand your concern. Even i have the same fear. But I really liked the way they showed Shruthi's case. At that time Abhijeet was very sober. Nothing was taken lightly. It was a pity that the the episode's climax was tragic and it left Abhijeet heart broken. I wish to see something like that.

I agree with Prabha as well as @abhijeetdaya. I know the love life of our team is always handled badly by the creatives and the director. But, if they could show it in a subtle way, like they showed Abhijeet-Shruti relationship, I really dont mind seeing a seperate background track of our team's personal life. But again, they should restrict such scenes to an episode once in a while and not give an overdose of it and spoil it. Like they did with Abhijeet-Tarika....

😊 Just see the number of IFs in our posts. I will tell you why Abhijit-Shruti Story left the impact it did. That story had a running time of about 30 minutes scattered over 4 cases. It had a definite beginning and a proper end. Every new character was properly introduced and we were told where they came from. In half an hour the story was complete, if that had not been the case I am sure this track would have joined the list of badly projected personal relationships in CID. Apart from that a lot of credit goes to the actress who played Shruti, a case of perfect casting. She was mature, a mother, still in shock of her husband's death with no support system, she played her part very well. She matched Abhi Sir in every way unlike Madam T. Also because of the way her character was built (she did not appear from thin air), creatives could not take silly liberties with her and everything fell in place.

I hope that instead of having lame side tracks like Abhi-Tarika that serves no purpose in the show, they have better side tracks that as Prabha Di said, really conveys the 'human touch' to the audience, something like the side track that they once had with ACP helping a young pickpocket(whose father had been put into jail by the ACP himself). Now that really brings out the mission and purpose of CID, which is to serve humanity by not just arresting criminals but also eliminating other evils in society and give a nice lesson to all its viewers.

Yes I really believe in human touch because it can really reduce the no of criminals. I hate it when they say tumhe phaaansi hogi all the time even when a person had commited a crime in self defence.. After Asha, I have never seen anyone else but Tasha who is very polite with the family of the victims and at the same time deal with the criminals with a tough hand.

The human touch even extends to how the officers handle people, deal with suspects, (Those who are co-operative) (Remember that asthma patient case? The man who thought he saw his wife and child's bodies? didnt like d way d cid treated him), interrogate people who might be of some help (Sachin showed that he cant really do this) etc.

Well in reality the trio does well but very rarely they show a bit harshness wen not really needed (As shown above). But The Trio is really gud wen acting wt human touch.
