We know our CID team - ACP, Daya, Abhi and Freddie are lovely human beings. Even after being surrounded by criminals and seeing dead bodies day-in and day-out they have not turned into stones. They still have the human touch. This side of Vivek and Tasha has not been shown yet, or maybe I should say I can't recollect. We have seen that side when it comes to interactions within the team but here I want to discuss about their behavior towards victims, suspects or even criminals.
I used to love it when ACP Sir used to say - "Beta, mera naam, ACP Pradyuman" to make the person comfortable who has been called for interrogation. Can we ever forget his reaction to Paresh (Played by Adi Sir in Stolen Gun) in the last scene? Or the way he used to express affection for Peggy and Tipsy, our dog squad, "Peggy beta, madad karegi na". In THE CASE OF THE MISSING MAN, he managed to convince the boy from not committing the crime only by speaking to him like a concerned, well wisher. These traits are present in Daya Sir, Abhi Sir and Freddie Sir as well. They have been subtle but they have been there. Daya Sir's affection for the dog in THE BLOODY TRAIL , Abhi Sir's interaction with the scared kid in THE CASE OF THE INVISIBLE KILLER and Freddie Sir is a sweetheart "Madam agar yeh mujhe yaad karega to phone kar dena, yeh mujhe bahut pasand karta hai". Their disappointment when they have to go with a bad news for parents.
These scenes had suddenly dried and we almost always saw the team having a bossy tone but we know that this side of them has been there all along. I also understand that they have to sound like that else people will not take them seriously. However, last week we saw flashes of this side of our team, the way Daya-Abhi reacted to the kidnapped kid saying "beta, beta hum tumhein achhi jagah le jayenge".Or how Daya Sir was so sweet to the kid in the Apaharan case. Or the way ACP Sir spoke to Raman who was suffering from split personality disorder and considering himself to be Raka in the last scene, "Raman ko koi tang nahin karega, uski tabiyat theek nahin hai isliye doctor ke paas le jayenge, chaloge na ". Or Trio's joy when they were coming with a good news for the parents about their son lost since 11 years. I am glad this side of the team is back.
I would like this side of the team to be shown where appropriate.
Do you recollect more scenes?
