| Just like Yuvraj, our TV industry too is filled with heavyweights who can't carry a show on their unfit shoulders and have become an eye sore for the viewers. Someone should also send a show-cause to these heavyweights too. Let's see who they are. Ram Kapoor 'Kasamh Se', it's high time Ram Kapoor takes to the treadmill. Actually, Kapoor needs more than that. He's long been the butt of jokes, but Kapoor's potato-like frame is no longer amusing. In fact, the same people are now worried for his health too. Ram has been gaining weight for a long time. His newly unemployed status has got nothing to do with this gain of weight. Kapoor has been sporting his flab since the days of 'Kasamh Se'. The show's TRPs dwindled but there was any drop in Kapoor's growing frame. Soon Prachi Desai, his young wife from 'Kasamh Se' started having reservations about standing next to him. The viewers mocked this pairing saying that Kapoor looked like Prachi's grandfather. The girl made a timely escape with producer Ekta Kapoor – another flabby Kapoor - granting her Bollywood wish. The much married Gurdeep Kohli replaced Prachi, but Ram continued with his weight gaining spree. Eventually, Ekta couldn't handle the burden of an overweight actor or his pricey demands. So, she deemed it better to shut the show. Ram returned to small screen playing brother and host, first to Rakhi Sawant and then Rahul Mahajan in their respective swayamvars. Here he was exposed to beautiful women and savoured the lovely delicacies that come with such occasions. The actor needn't be served with a show-cause notice, but it's high time he altered his lifestyle for his own good Smriti Iraani She used to work in McDonald's before. Today Smriti Iraani looks like a burger herself. Motherhood is always fattening, but when you're the highest paid actress in TV's history, you surely can afford the best of weight-controlling measures or treatment. Smriti, though was least interested. While she kept gaining every pound of flesh, her career saw one loss after another. Political pressures too took a toll on her body. In 2009, Smriti returned to the small screen as Maniben. The show was doomed even before it started. After all, why would anyone like to see a show whose leading lady looks like a ball. Smriti didn't help her cause with her inane expressions and loaded make-up. 'Maniben' was a disaster waiting to happen. Perhaps, a final nail in the coffin. With her career all but over, it's time to settle down in politics. However, will the country like to leave its future in the hands of an unfit and obese lady? Sakshi Tanwar Our Parvati from 'Kahani Ghar Ghar ki' is not obese, but she sure has put on a few extra kilos. Strangely, Sakshi Tanwar is still a spinster and we've never heard of her having any liaisons. The question that begs an answer is how has she put on weight? Tanwar was recently seen in 'Balika Vadhu', where she gave the impression of an actor who's well past her sell-by date. Viewers didn't appreciate Sakshi as Teepri. Many didn't even hesitate in blaming Teepri for the show's below average performance in the last month or so. It's difficult to see Tanwar returning in a lead role again. Shedding a few kilos may not turn back the years, but at least Tanwar would look presentable in front of the camera. Juhi Parmar Alright, Juhi Parmar was never a bony lady. As surprisingly, she was crowned Miss Rajasthan in 1999. Perhaps, that speaks 'volumes' for the contest and other competitors. As long as one has seen her in Indian television, Juhi has always looked like a buxom babe. 'Kumkum' wound up after seven long years. Juhi then returned with the SAB show 'Yeh Chanda Kanoon Hai'. During the show's press conference, Juhi was asked whether she was looking fat. The actress agreed that she needed to lose lots of weight. However, we're yet to see her word translate into action. Now that she's married with a possible motherhood shortly, Any possibilityof seeing Juhi in slender shape can be safely ruled out. VIP Laughter is the best medicine, but an overdose of it can lead to side effects. Perhaps, one of them is weight gaining. Mimic, comedian Vijay Ishwarlal Pawar's bank balance has improved from Rs.0 to lakhs and perhaps even to a crore. What has also grown is his waistline. Success tastes sweet, and VIP seems to be savoring every bit of it. Worse, he doesn't shy away from showing his ridiculous belly. Mr.VIP get your act right, before the joke turns on you. Devan Bhojani Ideally we' simply love to see Deven Bhojani the way is he. Asking him to shed oodles of weight would be a sin. Apart from his acting, Bhojani is famous for his chubby look. So dear boy, shed some flab in the belly, but we don't want you to lose the baby fat of your face. 'Baa, Bahoo Aur Baby' may be over, but long live Gattu. Neha Marda She still in her 20s, but Neha Marda, a.k.a Gehna of 'Balika Vadhu' fame, is starting to look at least five years older. All right, the diminutive girl was told to put on weight, as she is supposed to deliver a baby in the show. Now that the baby is out, it's time for to get back into shape. The belly looks fine but Neha needs to lose weight below the waist, especially from her meaty thighs. Saroj Khan No work, it's time to play. However, Saroj Khan is often found seated in the judge's chair. Staying benched for long periods invariably leads to obesity. She'd said at a 'Chak Dhoom Dhoom' press conference that it was time for her to lose weight or else die. However, Khan continues to warm the bench. Madame, you've had your turn. It's time to vacate the chair for others. You need to resort to vigorous dancing yourself. God forbid, if you were to pass away, there won't be any moaning. --Mayur Lookhar/ TellyCafe.com |
