Hello everyone!
Writing after a couple of weeks...But today had to...Shashi's elimination has left a void big enough on the Idol platform for me to come and express my disappointment...Though we cannot change what destiny had in store for him but we can console him over this medium as his listeners...I personally think he deserved much better than this...
Firstly, I want to appreciate Shashi for the 6 weeks of sheer talent he showcased on the Idol Platform! Even though there were weeks where he did not get positive remarks from the judges over Sur etc...but as a listener I even enjoyed his "Om Shanti Om" ....which was his most criticized performance....On my part I want to convey to him that it was unfair to talent in general and to him in particular that he was evicted this early...considering when there are DESERVING ELIMINATIONS possibleš
Secondly, I am not ready to get another shocker...With Shivam in the Bottom 3 for the second time around....I am very upset over what next week might have in store for us....Like someone wrote previously...it would have been better if the judges were allowed to eliminate a contestant rather than saving one....The judges could have done some better by saving us from the painful experience of hearing a total besura gana....and saving the efforts and energies of thousands of people who are sending votes for no reason to retain such singers....this might as well have directed them to vote for the deserving ones....!
Thirdly, I hated how Anu Malik reacted today...it sounded rude and insensitive...Since he can do nothing (the judges veto is a useless idea) he should atleast avoid making a scene right there and then! They can show a judge's reaction while the credits roll where they can share their views over the result but when the result is announced they should either stay quite or say something motivating (like Saleem did today)...
Fourthly, I would like to say that Shashi's last song on the platform was such a heart wrenching song and he sang it really well...the best last performances uptil nowš!
I am leaving you with a collection of all the Gala Performances of Shashi....This is my way of telling him he will be missed for the remaining 7 weeks!
