have you never watched hindi movies or serials, everyone in india would know what it means

you could have asked any of your relatives or friends in india

Haha it's usually considered a derogatory term, and the phrase 'kya item hain' usually refers to a women's features 😳

You could see it as flirting, it's usually just stupid cheap ass fresh guys checking you out because they obviously have nothing better to do with their lives.
