Madhavan was an engineering student but believes that destiny has made him an actor, "See, I have done engineering. By that logic I should be an engineer. But I became an actor. I came into acting when I was 29, and some said I was too old. I had many responsibilities. But I thought I can take the risk and I went for it. Everyone has to take some or the other risk," adds Maddy.
And right on cue, Madhavan's last film Teen Patti also didn't do well despite being hyped for having the Big B and also Oscar winner Ben Kingsley. But Madhavan takes things lightly and says he always ignores the pressure. "I have no pressure. I can't afford to take any pressure. One film is never enough. An actor goes through a certain process. Every film gets you new opportunities and boundaries to touch. You have to just keep on working at a constant pace to achieve success," says Madhavan.
For this year Madhavan is in two Hindi films. One, Tanu Weds Manu, with Kangana Ranaut and the other, Sunglass, with Konkona Sen Sharma. This movie will be directed by Ritupo*no Ghosh, but for now the film has been stalled.
