But when it's used for destruction of life....well, let's not go there. And so sorry to hear about the case with that man and your mother. It's true, when you disrespect women it's very easy to forget blood relations. I agree with you too...there's no need to put a "ji" after Daar...but what to do, just because he's mean minded doesn't mean I'm ready to stoop to his level. And Brij cares for his sister only when things are going his way. He's got no respect for her as a human.
No dear....I enjoyed your ramblings a lot! I'm all for feminism and women's emancipation. The thing is, many of us accept this cursed life. If we don't change our own mindsets, then how can we go about changing that of others'? And I know you dislike Daar(ji 😕) but calling him names simply won't help.

actually the name that i gave daarji ... it was a pvt joke😳 but apologies if i offended anyone😳😳😳
I was disgusted last night by that .. that ... whatever ..... his heart didnt melt when both his grown sons were begging him to spare his own grand daughter's life? and when brij said what he did ... he wasnt shook by what he had said but was instead thinking that brij is lying to him?!?!!??! what is that guy made of? he is like an automoton who doesnt give a damn about anyone ... brij ... whatever his faults ... at least the family was convinced tht he wd stop if his grandfather asks him to so there is a shred of something in there but that man ... i hate him and blame him for this mess more than brij ....... more than brij .... i now want him to have his comeuppance and soon ... i now think that brij is just a brain washed idiot ... its that old man who deserves strongest possible condemnations🤢🤢🤢

Actually i can speak about what is happening in India. And from whatever i have seen and heard honor killings r done by mostly villagers and small town people. If u see the bolded part i have mentioned both the reasons ..education and the regressive thinking of older generation that is passed to thir successors. Some comes out of that brainwash and some cant even after getting educated. It depends which had a harder impact on u .

U r rite even in a village a person can be open minded ....education does play a role but not a complete role ...and thats what i meant by saying when i mentioned that every family consists of dissimilar personalities. It depends on person to person and their nature and beliefs.
I was just talking about things in general not as a whole cuz u cant reason out the cause of such acts on a whole.

@bugs u r right ,.... every family has dissimilar personalities ..... lack of education+regressive thinking=disaster ... thats what i know ... and when it is education+regressive thinking .... i feel like banging my head against the wall .... bcos u just cant reason with such folks ...... they bcom the biggest upholders of old values and traditions 🤢 urgh .... generally speaking there is no rationale behind such acts ... which makes change seen like a hopeless thing at times .... but once in a while u hear something and r like ... may be things r not so bad .....
for now both are going side by side ... only time will tell which side will finally win

btw ... have u noticed .... in small towns etc ... the ppl most concerned with honor ... and following the old ways ... in short the biggest followers of the most barbaric traditions are always families of standing in their own communities .... the handas in geet for instance .... or generally speaking ... the thakurs or the richest landlords etc .... these r the ppl likeliest to have gained an education and yet 🤢

Fabb post Khushboo! 🤗
Gosh girl you write longgggg posts! Reminds me of Nitica's posts on DMG forum. 😆 Nevertheless, I enjoy reading your analysis of Geet issues.
I don't even know where to start...but I guess I can start on how much I LOVE drooling over Maan! ☺️ Whenever he comes on screen, I can't help but stare at him like an idiot! 😆 My neeyat always goes for a toss whenever I see Maan, especially when he goes shirtless and flaunts his well-toned and built body...*drools out a river*
*Ahemmmm* Anyways, enough of me fantasizing over Maan. Lets get down to business!
Ever since the abortion track between Geet and her family started, I've been feeling so bad for Geet. I've always despised her family, mainly Daarji and Brij. Geet's parents I think are probably the most caring human beings in that family, yet they barely have any say over their daughter's life.
Brij is someone I can't stand at all! He is completely heartless and does not even qualify for being called a human. He seriously needs to get a life! I mean doesn't he have any other work to do besides his little part time night job he does by hunting people down to murder?
Anyways, the past couple of episodes freaked me out at times to know what extent a family will go to 'protect' their so-called honour. Its hard to believe these kind of things happen in reality as well. Thank God this is a show, and we always have a hero to save the day! 😎

@Arwen - Lack of education +regressive thinking = disaster ..in short Brij 😆😆
Yep , and as they have big names and the people smaller look upto them makes them more obsessed with honor and their name as they want to keep up with their goodwill amongst people but then obviously they cross the line of humanity to keep up their reputation which make them dishonored as well.

@Hiba...yeah, hell is indeed too nice a place for them!!!
@pyar-ishk...I'm glad you liked it! Do share your thoughts as well.
@krystal_watz...actually my name is "Godhuly"...with a Y at the end 😳 anyway, what you've said is right. So ironic, that when honour killings are increasing in the country, such a show is being aired.
@Bugs...exactly my point! Such things can only be eradicated by education. But education has to reach deep...it won't leave any impression on just the surface.
@Arwen...I guess that may be. You've a point.
And well...even I blame Daarji more than Brij. No, you didn't offend anyone, but the thing is that there's no need for us to stoop to his level while referring to him.
@Bugs...yeah, education does play a role but it's important that it sinks in properly. The essesnce of it has to be taken in.
@both Bugs and Arwen...that's a nice discussion! Agreed with every word!
@Dangelz...lol no...I'm no where near Nitzi! 😳 But yeah I always wanted to be able to write like her, and it's simply awesome to know that you find similarities!!! 😳 Oooh the same happens to me when I see Maan! And I think he hates wearing shirts or something 😲 *blush* Hehe...let me join you in the drool-club!!! 😉 😆 Yeah, thank goodness Maan's around to save her!!! ^^ Love the guy...so droolicious!!! hehe...anyway, I'm also very happy that it's a show but still, these things do happen and it's such an insult to humanity!
