Hello daisies!!! 🤗 Anyone missed me? *looks hopeful*

Had to go through so much trouble to watch Geet this week! And well…since there was no sign of Dev, I could happily drool over the angry young "Maan" and thoroughly enjoy myself! I must say…his khadoospan looked even hotter in that white UBS! Loved him to the core…aah he's so darn hot! *giggle* 😳

I'm sure the neeyat of half the Forum girls went for a toss when they saw him glaring at Munshiji with those dark eyes...my dil went mmmm….lolz! 😍

Anyway, *chides herself* Khushboo concentrate! 😡 😆

Yes…coming back to the point of the post. After watching the last two episodes, I seriously feel the need to throw up. And I would prefer doing it on Brij.

Geet's father did the only thing he could think of in order to save her life…asking her to run away. Not a practical solution, no. But it was perhaps the only available option in the current situation. A helpless father advising an equally helpless daughter to run away from home, to save two lives…one that of his daughter, and the other of her unborn child.

It touched me deeply, even though I wished he had handled the situation differently. What is he alone to do against society? He is considered as much an enemy of the family as his daughter. And why so? Because of his modernized…no, his sensible and humanitarian approach to life, to women.

Another thing which struck me was Geet's iron determination. Despite being drugged, she trudged on to save her child…a true mother's spirit. As we all know, mothers can be lethal if someone tries to harm their child. It's mere human nature, and she's no alien to the feeling. She hid herself to the best of her abilities, and when Brij finally found her, she tried to protect herself. It was her fury that forced her to stay conscious, to stay alert lest something happen to her baby. 👏

And Brij's attitude…preposterous! It hurt me to see his mother (sorry I forgot her name oops!) begging in front of him with folded hands. What a pathetic scene…that of a mother begging to her child, who refuses to see sense, to even give her the mere respect she deserves as his mother, if not as a woman. 😡

Also, watching Daarji move away from poor Rano who had fallen at his feet, begging mercy in desperation for her only daughter, it disgusted me. She was behaving like a typical mother, one who cares for her child more than she does for herself. As much as Geet, who's mindset is the same as Rano at the time being. They're both mothers, fighting tooth and nail to protect their children, their lives. And i respect them. 👏

Daarji's words…when he said that he doesn't care for her life if she doesn't care for her family's honour…it did nothing less than send cold shivers down my spine. The fact that he could even say that, being the senior of the family, was appalling. What respect does he deserve, if he doesn't know how to respect others? 😕 😡

Brij, being the chamcha of Daarji and the blind fool that he is, chased after her. To kill his own sister in the name of honour. Everyone reminded him of his relation with Geet, but he loves his honour more than his life.

So he gathered his murderer friends, and ordered them to find her and chop off her neck *cringes at the thought*. And how wonderful of them to support him in this insane decision...wah! 👏 😡 😡 😡 He needs an award for being one of the most heartless people on the planet. I doubt even terrorists are this crazy...

Geet, like any other normal person, started running for her life. But as luck may have it, Maan missed her desperate cry. What was worse, Channi's brother found her. I salute her guts, to have run such a long distance with them all chasing her like hunters.

The poor helpless prey that she was, she fell when one of them struck. Despite that she kept trying to save herself, and the sickening image of a small animal trying to run away from being slaughtered flashed in my mind. *shudder*

We saw her beg Brij, telling him that she was her sister...to have mercy. But he doesn't have a heart of stone, no. He possesses no heart at all. He's the reincarnation of the devil, with a twisted blood-thirsty mind.

They hit her, hurt her, and finally, Brij positioned his sword over her neck like an experienced golfer aiming a shot...I wonder how he could remain so unaffected, while attempting to kill his own blood relative. 😲 *shiver* But, thankfully Maan showed up and no need to go into those details, as we all know what is going to happen next.

Now, after this long boring essay, my questions are...if life is priceless, then is honour more valuable than that? What right does Brij have to take a life...no matter what the reason?

Is it all her fault, that being a woman, she has been adorned with the thorned crown of family honour?

And to think of Brij's perception of honour...what will happen to the honour he's so desperately trying to protect, when people come to know of his insane and homicidal actions? As we all know, truth always prevails...and this gory truth will most definitely come out. What will happen to his family then? Has he ever thought of that minute detail? 😕

Think about it this way...a more practical, softer approach to the situation would have done wonders. So they didn't want Geet to keep the child...they could have helped her. Explained to her sensibly that education is a better option if she wants to take revenge on Dev. Maybe she would have resisted, but force is never the answer.

Honour, as I keep saying, is no public certificate to show off. It's private, and not the business of others. 😡 Many of you will disagree, and say that in Indian society, this is the norm. Yes, that is a point. But what about changing this age-old mindset?

Why not judge a woman by her personality than her honour? It is important, yes, but nothing to parade about. Why not respect a woman's decisions just as a man's is respected? Why not let her live on her own terms, respect her independence, and accept that she has every right to listen to her own heart?

Some people may think it's an insane idea, but honestly, coming from the background I've been brought up in, these thoughts do cross my mind. Having a child will not ruin her life, it won't harm the family honour.

If anything, it might help to change the mindset, the outlook of people. Call me optimistic to the point of insanity, but I think that she might even gain some respect in society for being a single mother.

I'm not dreaming, I know of such gutsy women who've lived life on their own terms. I respect them all...they're rockstars! 👏 👏 👏

Honour killings are nothing less than cold-blooded murder. And the supporters of this outrageous practice simply deserve to be hanged to death. Because no one has the right to rule another's life. We are all different individuals, and our views are different. Instead of forcing opinions of another, wouldn't life be so much easier if we just accepted it and moved on instead of declaring war? 😕

I know, I know...lots of rambling. But seriously, these things get me so angry, I just have to vent. I just hope Maan knocks Brij out and throws him into jail. Hmph.

And bashers, do try not to give me a headache...I already have one. Go somewhere where your views will be appreciated, and trust me...this ain't the thread for it.

Lots of love to all,
Khushboo. ❤️

lol wow rant away. i do enjoy reading them :)
I like the fast pace of this show - hope it doesn't slow to a crawl and I hope they try to stuff as much of "reality" into it as possible. Shows like this are amazing as they break new ground and have the ability to teach!

@RaatkiRaani...What's your name? I'm glad you like my ramblings dear! Will continue then! 😉 😆 I too like the fast pace...I just hope it doesn'yt stagnate all of a sudden. And that's exactly my point...since these shows have the ability to reach to people, they should've shown Geet giving education her first priority. It would have had a very good influence.
@Esha...I glad you liked it. Would love to hear your views as well. 😳
@xogopi1022...do tell me your name dear...It's nice to know you agree. But I'd like to hear your take on this as well....even if you agree with me, there's no harm in rephrasing it! 😃

Anu :: Add me too, even I would love to throw up and slash him and beat him to death 😆............What a horrible human he is .
Geet's father did the only thing he could think of in order to save her life'asking her to run away. Not a practical solution, no. But it was perhaps the only available option in the current situation. A helpless father advising an equally helpless daughter to run away from home, to save two lives'one that of his daughter, and the other of her unborn child.
Anu :: The only thing that wondered me in that scene is how come he asked her to run without even giving her money..........I mean I hope he didnt expect her to run to delhi on foot 😆. Jks apart, he did what he could do the best. Right from the start he wasnt shown strong , so this was the only way he could react and he did his part as expected. Iam glad there is atleast one person who thinks from Geet's perspective in that family.

It touched me deeply, even though I wished he had handled the situation differently. What is he alone to do against society? He is considered as much an enemy of the family as his daughter. And why so? Because of his modernized'no, his sensible and humanitarian approach to life, to women.

Anu :: I agree......he is soft-natured and compassionate unlike the other men of that house...........
Another thing which struck me was Geet's iron determination.
Anu :: I adore her for that...........she is determined to save her child by hook or crook and I bow down .......... She is an awesome women ............ her transformation from an innocent school going kid to a Strong-Mom has been well portrayed......... CVs have shown it perfectly.....
Despite being drugged, she trudged on to save her child'a true mother's spirit. 👏
Anu :: Exactly ........... she is determined to not let go off it so easily and its her that burning determination that kept her on her feet ........

And Brij's attitude'preposterous! It hurt me to see his mother (sorry I forgot her name oops!) begging in front of him with folded hands. What a pathetic scene'that of a mother begging to her child, who refuses to see sense, to even give her the mere respect she deserves as his mother, if not as a woman. 😡

Anu :: Brij insaaniyath ke naam pe kalank hai 😡. How can he be so ruthless, heartless towards his family and sply his lil sis whom he supposed to have known forever ?😕............ Wouldnt all the wonderful moments he spent with her flash when he was abt to kill her ?. How will he sleep peacefully after brutally murdering her? .......What kind of a bro is he?😕.
Also, watching Daarji move away from poor Rano who had fallen at his feet, begging mercy in desperation for her only daughter, it disgusted me. Daarji's words'when he said that he doesn't care for her life if she doesn't care for her family's honour'it did nothing less than send cold shivers down my spine.

Anu :: No wonder Brij is so ruthless...........daarji ka chamcha jo hai.........wonder how many ppl Daar( ji ?? 😕😕 should we still respect him?? 😕) killed in the name of honor .

Anu :: When it comes to his life and death , I would like to see what he prefers......his life or his honor .......... Such ppl talk big until their life is at stake......😡

Anu :: I couldnt believe how a bro was killing his sis without second thoughts ........ .........Maan had to come and save Geet .......😊 Loved how he held the sword and blood dripped from his hand ........ what a way to portray that Maan is gonna throw his life infront of geet's to save her..........😊. Geet needs such a strong man behind her to show her the way and make her grow strong 😊.
Now, after this long boring essay, my questions are...if life is priceless, then is honour more valuable than that? What right does Brij have to take a life...no matter what the reason?
Anu :: Not only brij, no one has any right to take anyone's life and sply for honor , NOPE.

Is it all her fault, that being a woman, she has been adorned with the thorned crown of family honour?

Anu :: What honor are they talking abt ,huh?. Who asked them to marry her so early?. Who asked them to not check Dev's background?. Who asked them to not inform ppl around abt the marriage?. They make it sound like Geet eloped and married ........ what nonsense is that?. It was a family decision and so they should support Geet who was cheated pretty badly infront of all their eyes........... How can all of them be so heartless . Aise pariwaar hone se acha hai naa ho .
And to think of Brij's perception of honour...what will happen to the honour he's so desperately trying to protect, when people come to know of his insane and homicidal actions?
Anu :: I guess he will justify all those murders as honor killing and cleaning society off paap-waap 😡. Someone just kill this brij and get it over with . Thank god Maan who is equally strong mentally and physically is pitied against him 😊. Brij seriously needs the lesson of his life for all this horrible and crappy behavior .
As we all know, truth always prevails...and this gory truth will most definitely come out. What will happen to his family then? Has he ever thought of that minute detail? 😕
Anu :: Uske paas brain ho tho sochega naa . I guess he is blindfolded in Daarji's siksha that honor is everything .

Think about it this way...a more practical, softer approach to the situation would have done wonders. So they didn't want Geet to keep the child...they could have helped her. Explained to her sensibly that education is a better option if she wants to take revenge on Dev. Maybe she would have resisted, but force is never the answer.

Anu :: I guess if the family was so understanding we wouldnt have this show in the first place .......... they were meant to not think from her perspective and abandon her.......... Anyways geet has her protector in Maan........ I want Geet to slap Dev left and right for this betrayal. Dev needs a lesson too 😡😡.
Honour, as I keep saying, is no public certificate to show off. It's private, and not the business of others. 😡 Many of you will disagree, and say that in Indian society, this is the norm. Yes, that is a point. But what about changing this age-old mindset?

Anu :: I agree with u, but for Geets's family, they think society will think Geet is pregnant out of wedlock . I am ok with they persuading her, abandoning her when she refused to obey them ............but Killing her? Nah, thats where they went wrong. I have seen families abandoning their kids at such a jucture unable to face the society but killing the person is so inhuman.........
If anything, it might help to change the mindset, the outlook of people. Call me optimistic to the point of insanity, but I think that she might even gain some respect in society for being a single mother.

You have already analized everything so well Khushboo, nothing left for me to say dear. I think I wouldn't be able to put it in words the way you have.

I find this Brij so double standard....................he's talking abt izzat, but at the same time killing innocent people........yuck 🤢.
Some people don't seem to understand that women also have the right to make their own choices in life.
For us this is merely a show, but for others this is everyday's reality, sometimes I wonder how they cope with such things for real.
