WOW I was amazed reading this article especially the line that "youngster are happy with their performances it's the seniors who are upset" .
The film was for Ranbir, Katrina and Arjun what about the senior actors who made Prakash Jha's films so watchable - Nassrudin Shah, Ajay, Nana, Manoj etc...
It is sad to see Prakash this way...I hope the movei works for him the way he is expecting it to be with the young cast....
The unkindest cut

Nana Patekar refuses to associate himself with his former friend Prakash Jha's Raajneeti any further after their fall out

Subhash K Jha

Posted On Tuesday, June 01, 2010 at 02:09:40 AM

Nana Patekar has decided that he has had enough of Prakash Jha and his film Raajneeti. He had walked out of the shooting after a fall out with the director and it doesn't look like the two are making up in a hurry. Jha's hurt and rejection has pushed Nana to the limit.

On Sunday night, the cast of the film including Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal and Manoj Bajpai saw the film for the first time. Nana Patekar was conspicuous by his absence.

When asked about it, Prakash Jha admits that matters between the two have come to a head, "When my assistant rang up to invite Nana for the Raajneeti screening on Sunday, Nana refused pointblank. He said he didn't want anything to do with the film. He won't attend any premiere or events. He won't see the film at all. That's what he said."

Prakash has no intention of cajoling Nana into changing his mind. He says, "Why should I ask him? I won't call him or send him any message. It's me who has reason to be upset with Nana's behaviour, and not the other way around."

Nana is known to be hot-headed and the outspoken liberties come at a price. About the screening of Raajneeti, Prakash says, "Ironically, the youngsters are very happy with their own and each other's performances. It's the oldies who are upset."

I won't call him (Nana) or send him any message...
– Prakash Jha

Personally, I loved Nana as an actor/performer however, I always felt this unfriendly air about him. He doesn't (atleast to me) seem like a very warm person.

Exactly what I want to know and think...
Praksh says youngster are happy - that is why they are promting the film every where....
Praksh say he is not going to ask NAna - then what about Nassraudin Shah...
He say OLDIES are not happy - maybe they knwo that their scenes are being chopped down...
I mean I am looking forward to the fate of this movie....Prakash Jha made sure that the BO opening is going tobe excellent..but I am looking forward to the content of the movie....

Me too! Right now they are selling this movie as if it is a Ranbir Katrina starrer whereas I think the they are just a small part of the movie.....I hope against all hope it's not a stupid romance with a political background ha ha....I want some good content and lots more of the "oldies" and the plotting Ranbir.

Prakash Jha needs to keep his trap shut. Calling an actor of naseer's calibre an oldie. Naseer or for that matter Nana can act circles around his young star cast.

I am not his fan nor his hater, but what I predict his future in film career will not be good, if he choices scripts like these, also PS will...
