When problems occur of this nature, then you take them to a human resources department. First, however, you have to realize that often the same laws of employee-employer relations might not available in India and of course never in 12/24 Karol Bagh.
Regardless of how his boss spoke to him, Abhi should NEVER have physically assaulted his boss. It's a grounds for losing a job no matter WHAT your boss said. If anything, Abhi's boss clarified the comment before he asked him. Of course the boss still had no right to ask it. If the old Abhi was asked this question, he would have verbally put the boss in his place in an assertive manner. For example, he would have said to him, "Sir, whatever the reason, it concerns no-one here and I'd rather that you were more concerned with my work than my personal life."
That's it. But of course that is not very dramatic.

I agree I mean he could have told him that but the boss kept taunting him since he is Bhalla's friend so thats why Abhi held his collor since the boss was instigating him
But yes if there was HR then he could have approached that and asked for an explanation as to why the hell is my personal life coming into my personal life !!!

But then the creatives lack this idea abd do not take into consideration

So you are saying their are laws in India - that is fine. However, it is interesting that you claim that a person seeks recourse for an action with a Labor Union even for a white collar profession? Typically Trade or Labor Unions are designed for only blue collar work. Taking into account the existing Labor Unions in India - see list here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trade_unions_in_India
Assuming Abhi has an MBA which one would he belong too? So you're saying that people with positions in business express their grievances with Labor Unions? So which one would someone like Abhi go too?

They have workers union for emplyees. why don;t we ask some one from india unless abhi is working for private firm. as far as I know they have unions for all public services, like postal. bank, hosptials municipality workers they all have their unions.
rail workers, bus workers and many many other services. and that not only incude laborers but white collar workers as well.
I worked for central bank and I happened to know we had worker's union and my uncle work for some other bank .
Imagine me just crying and ppl are afraid that some one said something to me. must explain how strong the laws must be for workers. My boss was even telling me that you want to get me in big trouble and I am like why? because he was questioned too.
I was really surprise as I never worked before and no clue that some one see me crying becomes this big a issue.
I mean we see all the time so and so workers went on strike. with their union leaders.

I know first day he called simi his older sister and next this.
Abhi should have given him few slaps if he held his collar. he might as well have finished it and taught him a lesson.
I only know what I experienced and that union leaders work in each place and they are there to help you and protect you.. It is possible abhi may be working for private firm then I am not sure they are protected by any such laws or they have any unions.

Now why do I need to ask someone else when you insist saying that Abh would need to approach a labor union. So you are saying that there ware labor unions for white collar workers in India? How interesting! Only white collar professions with unions in the US are teachers. MBAs and in a Union? Sounds rather ironic when unions are representative of socialist and communist movements and are very anti capitalist and an MBA is part of the capitalist framework...
HR department yes, but Labor Union I find hard to discern.
