Bipasha Basu may take legal action |
Bipasha Basu, who was dragged into the Amar Singh phone tapping controversy yesterday, when a newspaper published an alleged conversation she had with the Samajwadi Party general secretary, has denied the voice on the tape is hers.
'Malicious'
Bipasha, who is currently shooting in Wai and Mahabaleshwar for Vishal Bharadwaj's Omkara, said she was horrified by the allegations.
"I am deeply shocked by this slanderous report. It is nothing short of outrageous. I have never had a telephone conversation with Amar Singh. The report is clearly malicious and I will explore legal options," she told
Mid Day.
Amar Kahaani
Last week, several media offices received packets containing CDs titled Amar Singh Ki Amar Kahaani, which contained alleged phone conversations between Singh and various industrialists, politicians and film actresses.
Friends' support
Bipasha said she was confident the truth would come out eventually. "I am open to any kind of voice analysis if required," she said.
"At this point, I can only say this much… please understand... my friends are very much aware of the kind of person I am, and I'm thankful for that. They would never give credence to such reports," she added.
