Bollywood actress Bipasha Basu has responded to the trolls and memes targeting her postpartum body. The actress, who welcomed her daughter Devi with her husband Karan Singh Grover in November 2022, recently addressed the online negativity surrounding her appearance post-childbirth.

The couple, who tied the knot in April 2016, became parents six years later, embracing a new chapter in their lives with the arrival of their baby girl. Since then, Bipasha has taken a step back from the limelight to focus on motherhood and her daughter’s early years. However, despite her personal joy, social media has seen a wave of insensitive memes and remarks aimed at her physical transformation after pregnancy.
A recent Instagram reel by former Miss India and influencer Shweta Vijay Nair called out this troubling trend. It featured a collage of Bipasha’s before-and-after pictures set to the emotional track “Night Changes,” aiming to highlight how women are unfairly judged for natural changes in their bodies post-motherhood. Bipasha responded in the comments, echoing the same sentiment.
https://www.instagram.com/p/DKwHBOmxJ3r/“Hope the human race does not remain so shallow and low forever… and they encourage and applaud women for the million roles they play each day,” she wrote. She added that trolls and memes do not define her, and while she remains unaffected, the cruel nature of such content could deeply hurt others. “Another woman in my place could be deeply affected and scarred with the viciousness,” she pointed out.

The actress credited her inner confidence and the love of her supportive family, especially Karan, for keeping her grounded. Echoing her thoughts, Karan also chimed in with a heartfelt message. “Women are goddesses. They are the creators of life. We should be praying to them,” he wrote, thanking Bipasha for being “so awesome.”
Together, the couple has made it clear they won’t let internet hate dim their light. In fact, their united front sends a loud message: motherhood should be celebrated, not judged, and a woman’s worth is far greater than her appearance.
