{Part IV}

While she was talking, Manidhar observed the way she was handling the situation. In very little time she had taken decisions, calling the ambulance, calling the doctor, guiding everyone, calling up her mom and assuring her with a wonderful way saying with so much calmness and patience the same thing. He knew how shocked and worried she was when she was informed that her father was unwell. And he knew she was showing a brave front.

She was keen to reach the hospital in time and she looked at him and told him, "Lets reach the hospital drive as fast as u can, Amma will panic I know. I should be there with her." Manidhar replied, "Yes!' her voice told him how much she could and wants to do for her parents. The love in her heart for them, he was touched by her confidence and love for her parents. She was afraid of sitting on a bike and here she told him drive as fast as u can. He smiled with his heart feeling wish he had never thought about her to be a scared introvert girl who would walk around the temples with devotion but won't be able to walk on to an airport platform ever alone with confidence.

I judged u wrong,

I can see u r strong,

A woman with beauty and brains,

Delicate in looks but inner strength gains..

He was trying to imagine all the things he had guessed about her even before meeting her. Her snap clad in a saree and her neighbour uncle telling she is scared of getting into lifts, planes, she sings beautifully and knows almost all the slokhas and mantras. He had assumed a homely girl with one ambition that may not be hers but for people around her. He wanted a girl who would be selfish he doesn't mind that at all but who should have an independent thought about her life and have her own ambitions goals in life. He couldn't connect with the homely girl as his thought was of not wanting a perfect life partner but wanting a life partner who though imperfect has her own individuality. He wanted as husband n wife, to be two individuals with aspirations and dreams, soul mates they can be but for that becoming each others close mates, they should feel like. A friendship they could develop which could be deeper. Mani never could feel a devotional, shy, & introvert girl could be close friend to him as he was very broad minded. He felt she may not connect with his thoughts.

I can connect with someone who has will and determination,

Can accept give her space not look for culture beautification,

Dont mind if she cant cook or sing or doesnt like wearing Sari,

For me friendship the base, love to embrace life becomes lovely..

Manidhar came back to the present feeling many things he assumed were not completely right about her. Akshaya was not thinking about anything else but to reach hospital, the doctors to consult, the treatment, what all she has to look into. Akshaya sat on the bike and Manidhar too wore the helmet. Manidhar told in a clear tone to her with ease and focus, "Hold on to my shoulders, we will reach soon. I will try my best that we reach before the ambulance reaches the hospital. Akshaya heard him, there was care, there was concern and he was quick in getting the bike started. His eyes were focused and she smiled feeling, ' Thank God she is with him on bike and not in a taxi or else reaching hospital on time would not be that easy'. She held on to him, and he drove fast now. Taking small lanes to reach quickly if traffic persisted. They were not talking at all but focused at the road ahead and eyes wanting the destination to be near.

In no time they reached the hospital. From behind an ambulance was coming and Mani gave the way for the ambulance to go ahead of them. Akshaya was sensing this may be the one carrying her father. She looked at it carefully and holding on to Mani and she saw her mother. She told Mani, " I can see Amma ." She rushed towards her as the wardboys took out the stretcher, She calmed her mother, hugged her and assured her she is there all is going to be fine with Appa. Mani parked his bike and went towards them. Akshaya spoke with the doctors. Her father was checked and many tests were done. They informed he had to undergo a quick surgery as the galbladder was infected and may result in inffecting the pancreas and situation could be bad if he wasnt operated. Akshaya filled the consent form for the operation and sat with her mom calming her as she was getting very anxious and worried at the turn of events and surgery made her feel very scared.Mani was with them and told if anything is needed to tell him he will bring it. Akshaya's uncle and aunt rushed to the hospital after few minutes. As they reached there Akshaya's aunt sat with her mom discussing and talking which made her feel better. Her uncle was inquiring with the doctor. Mani told he is at the reception area and if anything is needed he will be of help, he knew that with family here its better for him to sit elsewhere and give them space to discuss things openly and not feel awkward. As he left the place Akshaya's mom was more comfortable to cry and show her pain to her relatives present there. Akshaya understood Mani was mature enough to understnad situations needs properly.

To know a person's nature little things sometimes matter,

Genuiness maturity can be noticed even a person's character,

It's the sudden situation which is handled in a way,

It's the spontaneous reaction one makes and says..

{Part V}

They were discussing things , room was seen and operation cost and all detials taken. Akshaya knew her father was a diabetic patient so his early reports, medicine she told all but her mom had forgotten to bring the reports along. Akshaya's uncle told her to bring those papers as the doctor want to see them and along with it she wanted to bring money from an ATM centre. Her uncle told she should not go alone at this time of night he will come along but Akshay knew he has to be here to handle things. Aunt was with her mom and she knew Amma has someone along with her. She told she will ask Mani to drop her at her place and come here quickly with the report file and money.

Akshaya went to the reception area and she didnt find Mani there but she saw the bike parked outside and knew he was present here in the hopsital. The receptionist informed him to be in the maternity ward. Akshaya was surprised and walked towards the maternity ward and saw him playing with a 3 year old kid. The kid's grandparents had arrived they were thanking him for taking care of the kid while they were to reach the hospital as their daughter in law got her labour pains and rushed here with her 3 year old kid. Mani had helped her by calming the kid who was angry with her mom for bringing her here while she was enjoying playing with friends. With labour pains she was stressed and had hit her 2-3 slaps. Mani then had intervened and got to know her husband was in army and had been posted in ladakh first and now in Kashmir. Akshaya was listening and saw Mani playing with the kid and the kid was not allowing him to go away but holding on to him. Akshaya found it very cute, the small chats of Mani with the kid made her have a smile, she remembered her childhood days with her father. She got emotional recollecting how her father had never let her get hurt ever, he would always pamper her with everything that she demanded he never said no to her, played with her though he was overweight ran along and never showed he was tired or stressed. Looking at Mani she could visualise the way her father would try and explain her when he would leave for work. Akshaya had tears in eyes but she stopped them to flow out.

Appa I can recollect the days when u played along with me,

I held your finger and felt I could now get the world to see,

You never showed your pain but smiled to fulfill your duty,

Please get well soon Appa ,let me see you happy healthy,

You are precious to me and I pray for you every time,

Thank You dad is what I can say a thousand times.

She knew now from these few instances that Mani was a nice guy with charm and warmth in heart, like her father, who had every trick to make kids laugh. Mani saw her, he immediately felt there may be some problem and rushed towards her saying final bye and kissing the kid assuring to gift her a big doll when he meets her next. He asked Akshaya if alls fine and could sense her emotional state. He was looking into her eyes and Akshaya knew he has caught her emotional state but she assured him with a slight smile that she was fine and that eased Mani. she asked if he could drop her home she has to bring some reports and take out money from an ATM centre.

Mani immediately walked towards the bike and they sat . He asked her whats the speed limit and she smiled saying, follow traffic rules, want to be in time but not too soon. They smiled and Akshaya knew she was with the correct person she could trust him to come along at this time of night. They discussed while reaching her residence the doctor who is going to operate, the problem his father was having and the operation hours, the various other doctors she consulted. As they reached Akshay's residence building, Mani told to go and get the reports he will be waiting here. Akshaya expected this , she knew he would not accompany her at night time till her house door but assure her he is here down waiting. Akshaya could sense his maturity & nature at every step and was glad of taking help from him.

Mani was waiting and Akshaya came, he started his bike and saw her not sitting on the bike but very stressed and upset. Mani stopped the bike with key and asked her whats the matter. Akshaya said in a very low voice, "I forgot to carry the house keys. I always have one set with me and other with mom, forgot to take from her thinking I may be having my key, but I dont. God how could I!." Mani was upset but he felt bad for her too. It would be time consuming to go back and take keys, operation has to get started he knew. Akshaya continued, "I am so stupid for fogetting this, Amma feels I can handle everything and here I am so irrresponsible. How could I? I should manage things properly but.." She had tears in eyes and she controlled it trying to be strong and not let herself down in a situation where she can't afford to loose her strength. She asked him to start the bike.

I can't even afford to cry on my own mistake,

Can't get weak as can loose the strength it takes,

To walk ahead and get things to be properly done,

Not get emotional be strong for hurdles to overcome..

{Part VI}

Mani told her, "Akshaya is there any door or window pane which is open and any chance of getting inside without going through the main door." Akshaya heard and tried to think, she quickly replied, "Yes,our balcony door is not closing properly due to the water leakage the wooden door has buldge and we cant lock it." Soon Mani got down asked the Watchman, Akshaya house was on the 2^nd floor and it wasnt easy to even climb the first floor. They decided to go into the first floor flat and from there to climb to the second floor balcony which was quite possible.

Mani and Akshaya were in the first floor flat. Akshaya insited that it was her mistake for not carrying the keys and she will climb up to her flat and get the things. Mani could see there was confidence in her and she said this with much thought as she felt guilty of it. Mani said, "I understand your feelings and I would allow you to go for this adventure climb if the situation was different. Now you can't afford to get hurt and make ur Mom more worried, better let me go and try it out. I have done rock climbing and I guess let me try this out." Akshaya couldn't counter and Manidhar Smiled making her know he understands her feelings and respects them, he wasn't trying to be a hero here but genuinely this time he didn't want her to try such a stunt. Akshaya smiled. It was as if without words their eyes and smile were sending each other the right message and the right intentions. As if they had found a friend and knew what the other meant.

Eyes can reflect sometimes whats in the heart,

Smile can add and let know its a beautiful thought,

Friendship usually gives that special feeling,

Of not searching for words but know its meaning..

Mani climbed and with the roof on the first floor so slippery he actually felt it too difficult to climb on it and reached the pole, he also got a bit nervous and a bit tensed. Akshaya could notice it. She told him, "Get on, be careful I am not carrying a first aid kit with me, if u fall it will be my turn, not to climb but to fall thereafter but it was ur idea so get it right urself." Mani smiled hearing that and his tension was eased with those few words, it was a friendly way of not letting him feel embrassed in front of a girl who would wonder if he falls. As he reached the balcony he looked at her and smiled, she too had a slight smile as if he was telling her .. "I know u helped me get through here thanks", and she replying with her smile,.. "dont thank me.. u have been a great support at this time of need.."

Akshaya had already told him where the reports were there. He opened the door and entered. He immeditely went towards the room and took out the reports and kept with him, there he saw a large number of trophies lying. He had heard Akshaya sings well so he understood it may be her prizes. He climbed down carefully and gave her the reports. Akshaya thanked him and felt releived she could face her Amma at the hospital now.

As they were walking down towards the bike, Mani asked her the trophies lying there were her's, he complimented that he had heard she won many prizes in singing but never imagined it may be so many of them lying in a heap. Akshaya informed him that most of the trophies are not for singing. Only a few of them that too securing 2nd-3rd in most but never first in any. She loved Badminton from childhood and most of the prizes are of sports be it badminton in which she secured first always and others of running, skipping and many such activities. Manidhar was quite amused and asked her if she has participated in state level and national level if she is so good in it. Akshaya replied she loved sports and secured first but could never get to the first position in singing but her father was happy with her 2nd in singing even third but didnt want her to get into any sports area.Her father didnt like after tenth her to participate in any sports competition and so singing took front and sports stopped.

She went on to say that for her nothing is more fulfilling than her father's wishes. Fulfilling her father wishes makes her feel of an achivement that none of the prizes ever can or could. His love in heart, his hand on her head and immense affection, care for her made her life so smooth happy and beautiful. Whenever she has heard him calling 'Akshu Ammaaa..' even till now she has felt the blessign and divine love in those few words..been a baby girl goddess for him whom Appa has loved through out more than anyone ever in his life. Wish she could give back atleast a percent of what he has done for her.

Dad's love for her little angle is so so pure and beautiful,

Father daughter relationship is absolutely wonderful,

Protectiveness, caring, listening and full of pride,

Pampering her to no extent and always on one side..

As she said this and they had reached the bike till then,Mani was starting the bike, Akshaya was getting emotional about her father. Somewhere the scare of something going wrong with him was making her feel low. She had tears and Mani knew it. He started the bike without uttering anything. She kept her one hand on his shoulder as he started the bike and drove. He knew very well her other hand was wipeing the tears flowing down from her eyes. He knew she was crying but he didnt say anything lettign her to cry and ease her heart which was hidding the pain and tears from so long. He knew after reaching the hospital she was going to show a brave front and not cry but assure her mom she was strong enough and wil handle things.

After a while the silence was disturbed as Akshaya told him to stop the bike she can see an ATM centre there and would take out some money. Mani stopped his bike and she was going towards the Atm centre and he said, "Akshaya when my mom had a minor operation which went for 25 minutes I cried for 15 minutes. Not cause I am weak anywhere but as I love her so much. When u love someone so much that u wont even bear a needle pricked to them, its not easy for you to let him or her have a operation done With injection regularly and cuts stitches. When u assure and make them feel its fine and a small operation and it wil help heal their pain , u can feel much pain in urself too. Tears are the symbol of that immene love and its makes the bond much more stronger as it did to me. Happy u have that special bond and believe me, Ur Appa will be fine soon and give him the good news that u no longer fear riding on a bike." Akshaya smiled and felt so good. Her tears had made her feel that she is getting weak but it was not, love sometime has to pour out, fear of loosing isnt the only thing, its also of not been able to see ur loved one go through the procedure to recovery. She felt it normal to shed tears once and felt light at heart.

They both looked at each other, smile not on the face but could be seen reflecting into their eyes, a content feeling of having a nice company. Mani had felt so much pride to be with her and so had she. They later thought how destiny brought them to meet each other at this juncture and know each other. Akshaya saw the old man coming out and she went in to get her money, while Mani was smiling for gettign an opportunity to be with this family where Love rules their heart.

Met as Strangers, felt awkward to go along,

Walked and sailed through situation for so long,

It made us realise life is an ocean deep and wide,

Waves were hitting and together we are side by side,

It's not embarassing to be together at this time,

It's actually helping and things look better and fine..

{Part VII}

Akshaya took the money and looked behind, saw Mani asking her to come fast. She wondered what happen and came rushing out. He told her to sit on the bike soon. As she sat he drove the bike in speed making her totally feel shocked and she was holding on to him for her life. She was not in position to think and ask with the sudden jerks of the bike. Mani focused ahead made the speed less in few seconds as he reached an auto and soon hit the breaks and with one hand held on to a guy's collar pulling him out of the Auto. Akshaya was a bit scared and worried what was going on. He got down and told her, "U sit here, give me a minute plz." Akshaya was a bit angry why was he doing all this.. and she felt he should think about her, she has already so many worries and has to reach hospital why to get into any scuffle now..more difficult situation may arise. Why cant he understand her urgency to reach hsoptial. She took his help doesnt mean he will get her to see all these stuff.. she knew in mids of her emotional state looking at this fight in real in front makes blood pressure to rise for sure.

Mani took out money which the guy had tuck inside his shirt. Mani soon pushed the guy on the floor and sat on his bike and went back towards the Atm centre. Akshaya was helplessly looking and wondering what all this fight was about, she turned and saw the auto and the guy fled the scene. They reached and saw the old man with the watchman of the Atm centre. Manidhar gave the money to the old man and was rushing to get on his bike. The old man was smiling and walking ahead to be able to convey his thanks, saying this 20,000 were needed for his wife's eye operation and he has given them a life. Mani wasnt listening but rode the bike with speed. Akshaya was amused to be glad or to be upset, she was confused.

Mani said now with ease, " U must be angry with me, why was I getting into all this." Akshaya replied, "Ofcourse I was. The way the bike skit and the way i had to hold my balance .. the way u pulled the guy out of the auto, stopping the auto, it was too much action and honestly , it would actually turn ugly if they carried weapons, they could even follow us now." Mani smiled with content knowing she isnt naive to be happy with someone helping some one else but practically also knowing things aren't as easy as u look at it. He was quite impressed by her mature thought and vision. Even to help someone u can get into many problems and troubles, he knew.

Mani replied, " I am glad u r honest and u understood things right but let me clear my position to u of what i saw and belive me was confused how to handle the situation. As u went inside and the old man came out near the road, a man took away his money and sat in the auto and went. The old man was crying for help, i knew i couldnt rush out to help him as i couldn't afford to make u stand here alone at this time of night Listening to this Akshaya smiled , she didnt see this side of the issue she felt. She thought men are protective when it comes to this. She smiled with his caring protective side, Mani continued, "with money in hand and also u had to reach the hospital urgently. My priority was with u , but looking at the helpless oldman i was feeling bad. The auto was speeding ahead and the man pleded out and saw none following him and the guy from the auto peeped out and was smiling.. i felt so shameful for sitting on a bike and waiting not even attempting to help. I didnt knew what they carried how the situation may turn, but one thing was on my mind, wont leave u alone here and chase them.. u r my responsibility when ur uncle has sent u with me. So as i saw u coming I rushed and asked u to come fast, so that i could catch with the auto's speed and try my bit. Whatever i did , thankful to God i could help the old man and didnt let u down.. i hope i didnt Akshaya.. Sorry if u felt disturbed with this incident."

Akshaya smiled and knew she was been selfish and she had heard the oldman saying even he had come at this point of night to remove the money for his wife's eye operation, what if she was in that position and her money was stolen would she take the guys view of standing there and not trying to even help her. She smiled more and said, 'U cant let anyone down ever. The old man couldnt thank u enough.. and i cant thank u enough as well. U look like a saviour to me today, be it helping me, or the kid at the hospital or the old man here.." Mani couldnt take so much of compliment and quipped, " Dont dont.. thank me at all.. i have not done anything.. just riding the bike.. these two wheels helped me .. everything else is destiny.." There was silence as each one felt destiny yes destiny it is..

These two wheels have brought them on this ride,

To move ahead in one direction sitting alongside,

Let see if the ride makes them to see the light,

Of a future together as a couple with a future bright..

{Part VIII}

They soon reached the hospital.Akshaya was moving fast ahead towards her mom and dad. Mani was confused and sat at the reception area thinking deep. Akshaya saw him wondering but went ahead towards her mom but in between turning back and looking at him , still in his thoughts. Akshaya gave the reports to the docs and the money to her uncle.The operation was to start in few minutes. Sitting with her mom she prayed. The operation started and Mani inquired, Akshaya's uncle asked him he can leave now if he wishes. Mani told he would leave after the operation is over and he gets to know uncle is feeling better. Akshaya knew he would say the same. She had a confidence as if he was her friend and she was sure he won't go now, she didnt want him to leave as of now. With his answer she was assured she knows him.

Why do I feel we know well each other,

Its been little time we spent together,

It looks like we can feel we r friends,

A friend like u this feeling overwhelms..

Mani went to sit at the reception area but Akshaya's uncle asked him to sit along with him. Akshaya and Mani looked at each other and Mani knew she was nervous. Mani softly spoke, "The doctor is a very well known surgeon I inquired, its not a complex operation." Akshaya was at ease knowing the operation isnt complex and no complications will be there but still a bit worried until she hears it from the doctor and the operation is over.

The operation was over and as the doctor informed them it was succesful and his father was shifted from the OT to the room,. She felt relived, though the site of tubes attached around her father were making her uneasy to look at him; with love for him making her feel emotional but she knew it would be removed in a day or two. The doctor said after 4 days her dad would be easily walking not to worry. Akshaya's dad was unconcsius and all were in the room along. Akshaya looked at Mani at that time knowing she is so very much thankful to him for helping her supporting her at this crucial time. She didnt say but her eyes were full of gratitude. Mani felt she shouldnt feel that he had done nothing. Both were sharing those thoughts not through words but through their eyes and smile. As he was leaving now, he told her, "Do take care."

We are friends now,

We feel close somehow,

What's destiny wanting to show,

We have to yet, get to know..

Akshaya remembered Mani was thinking a lot sitting there at the reception area, what was bothering him?. She couldnt stop herself and she walked behind him. Mani felt she was following him and asked her if she needed anything. Akshaya asked him in return if he needs something, is something bothering him. Mani smiled and wondered why would he need anything. He said No.. Akshaya told him she had observed him a bit confused sitting here and thinking. Mani recollected and was happy that Akshaya cared about him. He told her nothing big as such , he came back here and remembered the promise he made to the 3 year old kid, of bringing a big doll along. So he was feeling bad for not keeping up that promise. Akshaya smiled broadly at his thought and Mani saw her beautiful smile, this smile had come after such a loong time he felt. She looking so happy with that smile.

This smile from long was absent,

Genuinely happy at heart it meant,

Relived that I could see it before I leave,

We met today desitny made me lucky I believe..

Akshaya said, " Oh thats the matter, I am sure U will fulfill her promise. Tomorrow come give her the doll and meet Appa too." Akshaya smiled saying and Mani too nodded his head in agreement. Her smile had already made him at loss of words.

Later both looked at each other wondering, will be meeting her father, what will be the family thinking. Akshaya recollected later that indeed Mani had rejected her proposal so Appa may dislike meeting him. He was angry when he heard Mani had rejected the proposal. Akshaya was now a bit confused but she knew Mani was a nice guy whats the problem if he doesnt think she can fit in the role of his wife. They can call each other friend. Mani too was confused he would love to meet her again and meet her Appa , get to talk with him and know about his health personally. But he felt a bit uneasy what they might think , he had rejected their daughter's proposal and facing them with that truth will be a bit awkward. Especially it may hurt her father somewhere he knew.

Rejection for ur daughter makes U feel angry,

U know she is capable for responsibilites to carry,

U feel the man rejecting her may not be the best,

She deserves the best and leave the past to rest..

Mani walked ahead thinking the same. He wished he had taken time before rejecting the proposal so soon. Akshaya looked at him while he was leaving. Mani turned and saw her face, she had a confused expression, Mani smiled and so did she, feeling whats the issue which makes their match not possible. Akshaya felt may be he has someone else in his life or what. She later tried not to think about it more, he didn't think she fits in and she doesnt think she is anyway inferior to feel bad about. Its people's individual choice. She felt a bit strogn with these thoughts of not bothering herself about it again. Both were in thoughts but they were glad to be friends.

You and me were asked if we would be in matrimony,

I rejected you, still u are sweet and there is harmony,

Our friendship isnt affected we feel for each other,

How to say I would be happy to get this proposal further..

{Part IX}

Soon her Chitappa came and told Akshaya he will go and bring something to eat for all of them. Mani heard and said he will go and bring. Akshaya's uncle told he will go and not to worry but Mani was not ready to listen saying, it will take only 5 minutes for him to go on his bike and bring it. Its not a big deal and he will not eat the Samosa which aunty makes if uncle will take him to be such an outsider. Uncle was smiling and hitting him on his back saying, "Go bring, U can never be an outsider ever Mani.. have seen u grow infront of me. Get married and my wife will teach her the Samosa receipe that would be our gift to u. Ur Aunty makes and u have dozens of it but when ur wife will make I am sure u will forget ur aunty in no time." Akshaya was smiling listening to their conversation and enjoying Mani blushing. Mani left before Akshaya's uncle would reveal more and make him feel much embaressed.

Akshaya and her uncle were going towards the room and Uncle was telling her about Mani. He told her Mani's mom's health got affected and had to be operated and Mani's father needed some 50,000 immeditely. Mani at that time sold his car worth 6lakhs for that 50,000.. Mani's father had told him why to sell a car , they could arrange from elsewhere. But Mani told as a son he can do little and it is when his parents need money , he can give them enough to feel financially secured and never for a moment have to ask money from others. For his mom, if she needs 50,000 to get her feel well, he would have 1lakh with him ready and never worry about money but worry that his mom comes out of this state and feels better. His father had told Mani loved cars , but after that day he bought this bike and rides. His car was his dream but he said his dream isnt owning luxuries but owning them and be with his family happy and making them feel proud of him. This two wheels not disown him from the dreams, two wheels less but he feels the other two wheels who run his life gave him life,his parents.. they are proud of him happy and he can drive peacefully this two wheeler too with much happiness and peace. Mani is such who goes a step further for his loved ones. He is an extrovert ready to help anyone, mixes with people soon. I really feel he is like my son to me. Akshaya felt very proud to have met him.

There is so much we have got to know about each other,

There is so much to discover and feel close to other,

Would love to and want to if things were little different,

U rejected me, it pinches and happy about it ,I cant pretent..

As they entered, Akshay's aunt heard them talk about Mani and she told Akshaya's mom that Manidhar is the boy who rejected Akshaya's proposal. She would be so happy if he would have liked Akshaya. Akshaya heard and was disappointed. She was quite and went into her shell. The introvert she always is infront of others. Mani came with the food and Akshaya didn't even look at him now. Mani was so wanting that she looks at him, her eyes looking at him with a smile, he wanted to have them as he leaves. He could sense she was not going to look at him. He left the room and said bye. Akshaya didnt look at him but showed as if she was busy doing something and said thank u as he left. Mani went out of the room, then Akshaya looked at the door.

I felt you are so nice, sweet and kind,

Felt you could be the one I am wanting to find,

Ur rejection never affected me before,

But after knowing U its hurting more..

Akshay's aunt while eating started her lecture about marriage as she always does, Akshay knew she will be targeting her even at such a time. Her aunt went on to say that her dad's health may have suffered with tension as Akshaya's marraige still isn't fixed. Akshaya should go the temple daily and pray and do this jaap, keep a vratam to get a better husband soon. Wear the sacred thread and the stone ring in the little finger. Akshaya was disturbed by all of it. She so very much hated all these talks. She came out of the room to control her emotions and not get disturbed.

There she saw Mani hiding his face with his hand behind the door and she felt it too weird. She walked a bit furthur and she said, Mani.. as Mani heard her voice he turned behind and soon a small kid came smiling saying, Uncle.. and Mani looked at her and felt he got caught. Akshaya now realised Mani may be hiding from that kid as he had not brought her gift of a big doll, and now as she called him, he is caught. She looked at Mani coming towards him showing her expression of sorry and that she didn't knew the kid was near. Mani looked at her and later smiled.

The kid came and looked at Mani, Mani told her," Baby how r u ?" the kid excitedly said, " happyyy" Akshaya loved her way of stretching the ppp with eyes closed. She smiled and went towards her touching her cheek. The kid asked who she is and Mani introduced her saying, she is Akshaya.. The kid looked at her properly and later smiled. The kid asked , "Gifttt" Mani said, "U wanted to play with doll but I couldnt.." The kid said, " Yeh real doll for me.. she pointed at Akshaya. Mani was surprised and smiled broadly. Akshaya smiled and felt too shy. Akshaya said with a bit shynes," Doll!" the kid said, to kneel down and Akshaya kneeled the kid held her long hair and tried to measure with her height." Akshaya was smiling and later hugged her and took her in her arms. The kid said, " My doll she is beautiful and has lonnnnngg hair but not black ..golden.. dadddy will bring doll with black hair..i have comb, i comb my doll's hair daily." Akshaya was listening and smiling. U r beautiful like my doll. She kissed Akshaya and Akshaya kissed her back.

It was at that time that Mani realised he had not observed her beauty nor her long hair. He looked at her now as the child made him to realise. Mani felt he had observed her face but never even for a moment tried to think how beautiful she is. He even didnt notice her long hair. The dress she wore was grand and very nice suiting her. Coming straight from the Arangetram and not getting time to change she was here dressed in the same outfit. She looked beautiful in the dress, her eyes were sharp, her knee length hair with curls in front made her look more pretty. As Mani was observing her beauty Akshaya looked at him and Mani felt as if he had done something wrong by getting attracted to her outter beauty and tried to look aside feeling he was guilty of it. Akshaya felt shy , there was smile in her eyes, shyness on face and the kiss of the kid made her feel so happy. She too observed Mani now properly, he looked handsome, well built, dark , his french beared made him look taller. She smiled knowing they were dressed extremely opposite while she was in a grand outfit , he was dressed in casuals with torn jeans and a cotton checked shirt. Both were happy inside but guilty somewhere, both knew their intentions weren't wrong but natural..still felt a feeling all new..

This is the first time we appreciated we like the outer beauty,

Its not a taboo to feel attracted and feel someones pretty,

Its natural for anyone the girl or the boy to feel such emotions,

Yet these two feel guilty though sure about their intentions..

The kids grandparents came calling her and took her as they were to leave for home. As the kid left, Akshaya and Mani felt very difficult now to look at each other. There was a certain smile inside which they were worried would come on their face revealing how happy they are to have felt attracted to eachother. A slight crush or a slight liking it may show. They knew well the other would understand it as soon as they look at each other. Akshaya was sorting her hair with shyness while Mani was walking and looking here n there with his hand in the pocket to hide his nervousness.

Soon her Chitappa came and asked Mani he hasnt left yet. Mani felt a bit awkward and said he was just leaving. Chitappa told Akshaya , Amma is calling u inside. Akshaya went and looked once behind at him. Mani looked at her and said, "Bye".There was a smile which their eyes could feel, as if they could see deep inside through those.

The more we see each other,

The more we have started feeling,

A relation sweet and wonderful,

Wanting to blossom and is developing..

Chitappa told Mani that he wanted to talk to him about something, and Mani was getting excited, he felt may be he is asking to have second thoughts about Akshaya's proposal. He would surely say Yes this time. Chitappa walked along as they went towards his bike and told to inform his children at home, they will be right back after an hour or two. Mani was disappointed that nothing of that sort happened. He left saying bye..

I wish I had not said No to u,

Quickly can't make things right for u,

There may be feelings hurt at ur end,

I wish I could somehow few things amend..

On the bike as he was riding, he recollected all the memories of he with Akshaya on the bike. He was smiling and feeling some void as now he was alone travelling. He felt how wonderful this journey was with her. How beautiful she is , how strong she is , She is honest and so to the point. Practical and emotional a blend of both.and how nice it would be to have another chance to ride along with her. He blushed with that thought now and as he reached home. He wondered when will he get a chance to be with her again. He went inside his house and kept wondering, what all Akshaya may feel about him, he rejected her and she might have things against him for those issues. Still she was good to him. Have they seen any other guy for her or not he doesnt even know. How stupid he has been to rush into reject her by mere generalisation. He looked at the bike parked down, he smiled knowing, he loved cars but these two wheels made him today to feel so lucky. It was these two wheels which made it possible for him to reach in time, go through the narrow lanes and yes be with her so close.

He lied on the bed and kept looking at the picture of her in his mind when he had for the first time felt how beautiful she is. Mani said with emotions in his heart, "These two wheels made me know u , made me get close to u, made me know.. u r what all I want in my life partner, made me know what I am loosing and what all I wrongly judged. These two wheels made me know a beautiful person indeed, made me know an amazing friend u are I wish I could be ur special friend and have u in my life forever in lifes journey. Can these two wheels make me get u in my life to be love of my life.. he thought over and smiled naughtily..

Two wheels made him know her truly,

Little time together and he wants her dearly,

He is upset to have rejected her before,

But he is happy to have got to know her,

Destination of this journey is yet to be known,

Wheels rolled, liking started , has love in the path grown..

Next day at the hospital, Akshaya wondered if Mani would come there to meet her Appa or not. It was evening and he had not yet arrived. She felt he would atleast fulfill the promise of the kid with a doll. She went to the maternity ward to know if Mani had come to meet her. She got to know he had.. the kid showed the doll as well. Akshaya now understood Mani had come and didnt even meet her once nor her Appa. She was feeling bad about it but later thought he may have not felt like taking this friendship further and give wrong signals of any interest. She felt he may be right with his own reasons. She shrugged off his thoughts now to come in her mind.

I thought u were so nice and kind,

Thought meeting again u wont mind,

Looks like u really dont wish to meet again,

Rejection thats what in the end it has to remain.

A week later as Akshaya's Appa was getting discharged. Akshaya saw Mani's bike parked there but he was nowhere to see. The kid's family had left two days before from the hopital she knew. Later she felt why she should even think of , whatever Mani wants let him do why should she care or bother. As she reached the house again she could see the bike parked there, now she was wondering, is this her illusion or the bike is parked actually. She couldn't enquire as she had to take her Appa upstairs. She went home. After sometime she had to go out for an interview and so she came down and saw the bike parked, now she was sure the bike was Manidhar's she enquired with the watchman who told her some guy had come before them and hasnt yet left. Akshaya wondered if Mani was here why he has not come to their house, and where is he then? Akshaya was wondering what's all happening and what is Mani up to. she was confused but thought to go for the interview she doesn't want to get late for it.

{Part XI}

As she was walking and waiting for an auto, Mani came on his bike and he smiled saying, "Will like to drop u till ur destination." Akshaya looked at him and now was sure he was at her building and the hospital too. Akshaya said in a sharp tone, " No thanks , today there is no emergency to take lift from u." Mani insisted and she was on the road , Mani was happy but she was uneasy to answer him, as she knew for a week he was not ready to meet, he already rejected her proposal so why go that further step now. She said irritatedly, " U have already dropped my proposal no need to drop me any further, I can reach my destination alone and find my companion whom I want."

Mani was taken aback by her remark. He now felt somewhere he had hurt her. Akshaya looked at his face and felt he was a bit disturbed by her sharp tone and she felt bad to be talking to him that way. She knew he helped her in the most needed situation and its not good on her part to forget that ever in her life. She said, " I am sorry if I hurt u, my intention was not that. U have every right to choose ur partner whom u want. I honestly cant take this lift, u know our society is such , I can risk been seen with u on ur bike that day it was emergency and Chitappa had asked me to go along, but here near my building, people will point finger at me, I dont want to risk it.I would not care about the society if the journey was very important for me or my life its not now..

I can feel that our paths are seperate,

U made me feel it and now it irritates,

When u ask me to be with u together on the bike,

Dont want to as situations and destination arnt alike..

Mani looked down and was disppointed and asked, " U told ur Appa u were along with me on the bike?". Akshaya found no reason why he would like to know and conitnue conversation , she said, " He knows I was with u , u dropped me but not that I was on the bike with u. He would blame himself and fight with Chitappa for allowing me to sit on a bike with a stranger." Mani now asked her, " what if I had not rejected ur proposal would u take lift from me, on this two wheels." Akshaya thought and said, " If I was intersted in ur proposal I may otherwise I wont."

Now she wanted him to leave and so she said, " We are friends and I believe that truly. Every friend has a limitation, We create. Some we want to call at any pooint of time and speak, some we would call up at certain days or time. Some we would only mail or chat with. Some whom we talk what not, and some with whom we love to discuss only certain aspects of our life. Family creates limitation for us and We create for our friends. I have my limitations my family made and I have made for my set of friends. Manidhar, I consider u as a friend genuinely.. and really thanks for all that u have done for me and my family. I trust u and surely if u need me ever i would want to be there and if I would need ur help I would not worry and call u up." She smiled and Mani too. Akshaya felt he understood her side and would leave.

Friends are the ones you make on ur own,

You share with them what u want later slowly the unknown,

They become the lightening aspects of your life,

They help u to be urself give strength in every strife,

U always have many friends five ten or may be more,

U get closer to few and nuture the relationship as u grow,

Not all will have the same space but have a special place u know,

Its limitations you draw and the trust love u would want to show..

Mani smiled and looked into her eyes and she observed the way he was looking just making her feel uneasy. she wondered what was he upto and what else he wants to hear. Mani told her," U speak so well and ur thoughts are also nice. I feel so good I spent some time with u that day and now." Akshaya now was more irritated and there were so many questions in her mind so she asked him straightly now with a firm face, "Mani u were at the hospital and at my building too right?, why u didnt meet us then if its nice to meet me and hear my say?"

Mani liked her attitude and said, " U saw me at the hospital?" Akshaya told him she saw his bike parked and she knew he was there while she was going with her Appa & Amma. Mani said, " I wanted to come and meet U and Appa the very next day as well, I came I gifted the doll to the kid, and I came near ur room, u were leaving to get some coconut water i suppose and ur Amma called saying get some fresh juice too. I was wanting to walk inside but stopped myself as I heard ur Appa's strong bold voice. I literally got scared." He looked down and Akshaya knew most of the people get frightened by her dad's heavy loud voice, Mani then continued, " I was wondering ur Appa will be happy to meet me? I was sure he would be polite to me knowing I helped u that day but inside for sure there would be hurt as I rejected his daughter. I didnt want him to feel inside a bit uneasy and outside to be good to me. So I left that day without meeting as i was too confused.'

Akshaya was listening carefully Mani continued, "I had left my visting card while I was sitting in the reception area the very first day, someone from the hospital trustee wanted to make a documentary for promoting their hospital. I walked inside the hospital and met them, discussed when they can meet me again, I had my team and made them to be in touch with them. As I reached ur room got to know u all had already left. I took my bike with speed tried to reach ur home. I reached and saw u all had not yet arrived. As I was walking down the stairs, the first floor flat owners they met me and they pulled me inside their house to sit, I sat their talking,

Akshaya smiled knowing he is such an extrovert, meets people once and they get bowled over by his charm. She said, " U can find friends everywhere and u make friends so fast. See at the hospital we were with the patient but U made a friend the little kid and derived workas well. At my building too more people now u know and they invited u inside. Mani only u can do all this.. She smiled saying and Mani liked the smile on her face. He told with a naughty smile, "Yes, I do get popular soon, so now u can sit on my bike." Akshaya smiled wondering. Mani continued, " U all reached and I got a bit late to reach ur home as when I got in , ur Amma told me u left few minutes before. And I came following u after meeting them."

Akshaya now asked him with content and smile, " U met Appa finally.. spoke with him?" Mani replied yes he spoke and it was nice meeting him. He told her , her Appa made him feel much at ease and also Chitappa was there along with him so they were talkign more and he was much silent throughout and soon left .Akshaya wondered why Chitappa had arrived. Mani told her his parents are going to come in the evening to talk as he has told he wants to reconsider the marriage proposal. Akshaya now was plesantly surprised but very happy inside. It took her by surprise and she was now a bit shy. Mani told her, he wanted to spend some time with her before their elders take any further step this time. Akshaya was not ready to say anything. Mani could see she was happy about it but a little confused.

Mani now asked again, "So u would like to spend some time with me before matters go forward. This is an emergency, please consider it as a question of life , of urs and mine too. " He smiled looking into her eyes. She looked into his eyes and there was unsaid happiness inside both. Mani continued, "Or would feel better to sit in ur house in the evening and get those few mintues time to say yes or no." Akshaya knew her Appa and with her aunt alongside they would surely give an half an hour time to talk and take decision. She was still thinking and said.. "I would like to spend some time talking with u and know u better before I take any decision. But I have an interview i dont want to miss it." Mani said with bright smile, "Sure, I am only asking to drop u at the interview later we can sit and talk if u wish."

Akshaya actually was a bit shy now to sit on the bike with him, it would make her feel uneasy now to sit with him, so close and talk. She said with hesitation, "Why dont u come along and sit with me in the auto or taxi." Mani laughed and Akshaya too smiled. She knew he had caught her real reason without she telling him. He looked into her eyes and she felt too shy and embarrased. Mani told her, be it auto or taxi , it will be we both together sitting and knowing each other. Trust me i have no problem in sitting in a taxi along with u and talk but...." he paused and then smiled and said, 'ok.. as u say" and he was about to search a parking place nearby.. he asked her he would park the bike inside her building as there wasnt a parking area here. Akshaya knew going back if her Appa caught him there , he wont allow them to have such a meeting. Akshaya looked at him while he got down and was trying to look at some parking area very gladly with no disappointment. She liked him for sure and she felt she should listen to her heart and go along. At night when she travelled in lonely lanes travelling on the raod in braod day light with crowd around why not.

Akshaya told him in a very soft voice, "Lets go on the bike. This is the palce I have my interview(she gave him the card), I guess half an hour it will take to reach there. Mani smiled and told her, "Akshaya I assure less speed..No action in front." Akshaya smiled recollecting the those moments and laughed. She looked at him and liked his caring self always and even now these little gestures make her like him more she felt.

There are few answers to be told without any questions,

Discuss & understand, love trust friendship these notions,

You and me on these two wheels again,

A story sweet and beautiful is to begin..

{Part XII}

Mani was reading the address while she sat on tha bike and he too. Mani asked her now she has no fear of riding on a bike right and Akshaya answered him saying that with him beside she doesnt have any fear now, later she completed before Mani misunderstands her, saying that on the bike with him she is sure that he will ride smoothly. Both blushed with those words knowing whatever it meant but they have a soft corner always and things look so much better when they are together.

Together we both again on the bike,

This time no urgency but a smooth ride,

To let each other know is he /she good as partners in life,

Try and decide the permanent place in the heart as his wife..

Mani smiled listening and told her, he was never so happy to have a two wheeler owned as much as he feels now. Akshaya smiled and asked him though she knew the answer, Why he feels like that. Mani replied knowing she was wanting to hear from him, he smiled cheekily and said, "It gave me an opportunity to make u fight ur fear". Akshaya looked at him with amused expression knowing this wasn't the reason and he is taking credit for that. She replied with confident expression, "Oh yes u made me to fight my biggest fear, U made uncle to force me to go along with u , U actually made the taxi union to go on strike that night, U kept telling me to be calm and not worry about the fear inside me, U supported me like pillar telling me how to cope up with the fear." Mani smiled and knew he did none of these for sure, so where did he make her fight her fear. It was destiny forcing her into this odd situation and her will to fight it out for her family.

Mani kept quite and she knew he was not able to answer her any further. Akshaya then said with a smile, " Mani I give u credit for sure, as u were such a gentleman that I could trust u and that helped me fight my fear." Mani was so touched that he had not words but feeling too flattered. He said with a happy face, " These two wheels made me know U who is as beautiful inside as beautiful she is from outside." Both were now shy knowing each one likes the other for sure.

We both together on these two wheels,

Warmth and respect in heart as we reveal,

There is so much to share and so much care,

Together we feel have a bond which we r unaware..

As they reached the signal Mani recollected how her dupatta had lied near the tyre and she had fallen on his back holding him. Mani looked towards the tyre and at the same time Akshaya too looked at it and both of them looked at each other and smiled knowing what each one is recollecting. Mani said, " I had told u sorry that day for riding the bike with speed remember. Were U sure of my intentions and that I wasnt purposely doing anything?" Akshaya heard and told him, " I guess in the beginning I was not even thinking about it, when I fell on ur back , u said sorry and I was releaved knowing u realised what I may assume and that you do respect the fact and so u were careful. It somewhere relaxed me." Mani was glad that she didnt doubt his intentions in the little time they spent. Mani looked at her from the rare mirror and smiled , she too was looking at him and smiled back.

There were some small incidents a tiny gesture,

Intentions were clear and trust mattered,

Within no time we felt we were not awkward together,

We built a bond, made a friend with pride and cheer..

As the signal went green and he quickly took speed, Akshaya fell on his back and held his shoulder, Mani held his forehead wondering whats happening and whoes mistake it will be this time. Should he say sorry before she gets angry. He looked a bit worried about what she may feel as they had discussed the same just now and why he wasnt that careful. Mani told, "Hit me one hard, but I am the same, A true gentle man believe me." Akshaya smiled and laughed with his statement. She looked at him angrily as he wondered she would be angry with him and looked at her from the rare mirror she looked upset and raised her eyebrow, Mani tried to get words but found it difficult and Akshaya smiled and Mani's heart was at ease with that smile. Mani replied, " I swear I didnt play any tricks." Akshaya told him she was pushed ahead as she wasnt holding herself well. Not to be sorry. Its her mistake. Mani was still smiling as he was riding and was quite happy as his face said that Akshaya was wondering why he is still blushing, later Akshaya realised she still had not left her hold on his shoulder. Akshaya quickly removed her hand and went shy. Mani too was blushing and both went silent.

We both have got attracted to each other,

We both have got feelings alike for one another,

What's still holding us back to reveal it all,

Why cant we stop blushing and say words all..

While the silence gave them to look besides the busy street and the crowd, the traffic still thoughts were about the future together. Would they be the right match. What they r feeling and got to know is it enough to go forward and proceed towards engagement. Both were seriously thinking deep if they r making the right choice for their life.

We like we appreciate we care and we understnad,

Is all that we shared enough to proceed & take our stand,

As marraige needs so much adjustment to make,

Marriage needs compatibilty, love &trust is at stake..

{Part XIII}

Suddenly the silence was disturbed with a woman beggar with a kid in hand asking for alms. The traffic was going so slowly that the street beggars had enough time to beg. The woman came closer to Akshaya pulling her dress and she refused nodding her head. The woman beggar looked at Mani now and went towards him saying, " bacchee key doodh key liye paise nahi dedoo Sahab ..Aapka bhala hoga.". As the woman went ahead knowing these two rnt going to give anything, Akshaya and Mani spoke about the sorry state of poverty in India. Akshaya said, she would always give alms to the beggars and always felt satisfied after helping such people but one incident made her eat her own words. Its when she had went for shopping and there saw a poor small girl begging, saying she had no one to look after her and that she was too hungry and wanted to buy something for herself and later give the left money to her uncle who's house she stays. Akshaya had given large sum of money to her and felt peace at heart with a thought that she helped the needy. The girl would no longer beg today on the street and go home happy and content.

Helping the needy makes u feel content,

Peace at heart, fulfilling ur duty thats ur intent,

With so much with u , u want to share it with the needy,

Make someone smile get blessings for which u r greedy..

The same day she had to again go through the same lane as she forgot her bag at the shopping mall.. She looked at the same small girl begging, saying the same story and asking for money though she had enough which Akshaya had given her. Akshaya wanted to know and she asked her why she is begging now she got enough money with her. The small girl replied that money is never enough. The girl was not thankful to Akshaya of having given her enough money today but angry why she was after her and wasting her time. Saying not to follow her, do someother work. Akshaya looked at the girl, her language and her eyes, she relaised the girl was now enjoying the trick to fool people with her sorry state and take money from them. Akshaya felt actually she had encoruaged the girl to beg more and awarded that begging in such a way will result in quick money. From that day she helps in her own way by distributing basic necessities at a street children home.

Mani heard her and said, Akshaya begging is no more a last resort of people in poverty but it has risen to a big business where mafia is linked behind. Drugs, crime all go hand in hand in this business. When we say childlabour is to be stopped why allow children to beg on streets? They r not safe , they are the budding criminals if not educated and rehabilated. Akshaya heard him and understood the seriousness of the issue. They both felt they equally feel for such social issues. They looked at each other and felt the eyes reflecting each one is worried about the social evil harming the society.

We both had got to know a lot about each other's nature,

Social issues how it affects we got to know further,

We now feel there is compatibilty in the way we look at our society,

We want to do something and not wait for the coming opportunity..

While they were just discussing the serious issue suddenly the beggars were running towards a taxi and Akshaya saw the man in the taxi was distributing notes of 50 to the beggars. With the traffic getting eased and cars moving quickly the woman with the child who was begging rushed to the taxi to get the money and as she reached the man gave her the note while the taxi was still speeding. As the woman got the money in hand there was so much happiness on her face she didnt see the cars in which direction were moving and an accident took place. Mani and Akshaya didnt knew whether the woman and the child were safe, it was a bad accident with the child blown up in the air and the truck colliding. Mani and Akshaya moved ahead as the people gathered around the accident site, people pulling the driver and traffic police intervened.

Mani knew Akshaya must be in distress and he said, "Akshaya r u fine." leave it to rest.Dont ponder on it and let the glimpses of those moments be left behind." Akshaya said yes. Both were silent. Akshaya was speaking may be to herself or to him but speaking out her feelings, "the child was at no fault.. the 5-6 months baby what was his mistake? None.. We may feel God is so cruel.. but I know God isn't cruel at all.. (her voice was a bit emotional which Mani could feel) He must have felt the child deserved to be in better hands be it if he is alright in the doctors hands or in an orphanage or back to him as an angel. I always wondered why some people dont have even basic needs .. and I got answer, basic needs are there in nature God created it , we human beings find it so hard to distribute equally among all. Everyone in life struggles ,the search is happiness. With two meals to eat the poor feels he got happiness while with 4 meals a day too, a rich may feel he still isnt happy. Happiness is just a state.." Mani smiled with her philosophical thought.

Mani asked her, " So u r daughter of the head priest any saintly thought to share on this two wheeler." He wanted to lighten the atmosphere. Akshaya now smiled as she heard him say that.. told with softness, "yes my saintly thought is,

The two wheels of life is our heart and mind,

Goodness gives u fuel and for mistakes u r fined,

Blessings & Hardwork r helmet to success in lifes path,

Love makes the journey smooth right from the start,

Values & culture are the rare mirror showing u where u r,

They make u realise which turn is good which isnt long n far,

Family & friends are the handle right and left,

They give support and make things look perfect,

Happiness is the final destination for each,

Soul pleades its inside us, so easy to reach..

As Akshaya completed that small bits of lines. They reached their destination the interview place. Mani put the breaks and said, "So U r with me, is my happiness just easy to reach. Akshaya looked at him with confusion and told him, " Inside urself not beside u." Mani looked at her and told, in my eys i have u actually now..soo.." Akshaya asked him firmly, " Trying to flirt with me?." Mani felt it was a complaint or a light remark. He told her , " Its nothing, just a moment to share and few past glimpses to rest. And future is the interview for which I wish u all the best..." He smiled and Akshaya was touched. She knew few minutes what happened made her a bit moved and he had spoken that way to lighten the moment, make her forget that incident. She felt he is such a nice hearted person.She thanked him, they exchanged numbers to be in touch and moved ahead towards the interview premise. While walking ahead she looked at him and knew he was all supportive of her job and her dreams she wanted to achieve.

As she walked up the stairs she thought about him,

U make with U others to also feel strong,

Thoughts are good and a friend for lifelong,

Would love to have u as my special someone,

Love can find its way when closer we become..

{Part XIV}

Akshaya wasn't nervous at all for the interview but nervous about what she will decide about her and Mani's match. She likes him and sure he too but he has rejected her once. She was now hell bent she firstly has to get it clear why he rejected her. The thought made her quite strong that she was no less so why he had felt in the first instance she wasn't a good match for him.

As her number came and she went for the interview , there were questions about general working pattern and money matters and also about her single status, she gave blazing answers which stumped the interviwers too. Akshaya came out and she had a huge smile knowing she gave it all. Whether they give her the job or not she doesnt know but she is happy she was good and not nervous.

Akshaya was coming down and saw Mani sitting on the bike and talking on the mobile. She was sure to get the first question straight about why he rejected her. She felt she has to be strong and not mince words but be clear and know the real reason. Was just her beauty making him to again rethink or what he found in her which he was not aware to reconsider. She made herself to be clear about many things its a question of life she told herself. She tried to explain herself, "U like him, U r impressed by him, his charm works wonders but still let's not get carried away Amma and Appa wont say a word when Chitappa has made him look so perfect. I have to make up my mind before I reach home."

U look like the one I would want to marry,

Still questions in my mind which I carry,

I have to let it out and clear some things soon with U,

Let Mind to control my heart before I get close to u..

She walked with confidence not smiling or been shy with him around but look serious when she asks him up.

Want to ask u straight forward one question,

Rejected me in the first instnace whats the reason,

Is My beauty making u change ur stance,

Somewhere I hope all these rnt true by any chance..

As she reached him, he smiled and Akshaya told herself, ' Ask him and dont get moved by his smile, be straight forward and frank.' Mani asked her , 'how was the interview?,' Akshay told him how they were hell bent in asking her out why she is single when she plans to get married and she was so put off by those questions. They were asking will she work after marriage and she wondered these may be the questions Mani would want to know but never felt they would.

Mani asked her what she said and Akshaya told she replied them that she was wanting to earn money not only for herself but wants to be independant and have her own individuality. Mani got too excited hearing it, Akshay was wondering why he is so excited. Mani then told her, " Thats Thats it.. I mean thats what I was wanting to know, I mean I want, I mean i felt..' he looked down controlling his excitement.. ' When the first time I saw ur snap in sari with kumkum and knowing U r the daughter of a priest, Uncle and aunt they told how devotional songs u sing in the temple, the kacheri u would like to have, how much U are a beliver of God, how well u cook, U r beautiful very introvert & delicate. They told me u would take good care of my parents These were qualities very nice and good but not what I was looking for. If a person is nice he would respect elders mine and his. They never told me about ur want to work or that u liked sports too and u r a good athelete. About how much ur education means for u. I was listening all things wondering that u may be among those perfect Tv serial bahu's .. best bahu or best patni of them. I am not against them nor do I disrespect such woman but I felt u wont be happy with me and I wont be happy with u.

Looks Beautiful,Cooks and will take care of all,

God fearing, sings well so perfect overall,

What about her goals, dreams for future mean,

Thoughts & aspirations dont they have any scene,

Its not just beauty which will stay forever,

Its not care and prayer to be highlighted ever,

One has to enjoy every moment it cant be with only sacrifices,

One has to find a friend and lead a life with pleasant surprises,

Dream and fulfill support each other,

Love and trust, build a family together..

I am a broad minded person wanting an equally braod minded lifepartner who wants her individuality. I have many dreams and I want a companion a person to walk along.. I am not fool to think she will take my dreams as her own and walk.. she has to have her dream too and we both would support each other to fulfill and be happy. Only with one person dreaming and fulfilling them wont be right.. i woudl like her to be that selfish to have her own dreams too. U r so highly educated why should u sit at home and only make idli sambhar. If u want to grow and make a mark of ur own I adore that feeling. U can make any day idli sambhar on weekends if u wish to. I had so wrongly misjudged u, i really feel I like this attitude in u of wanting to achive in life on ur own and working towards it. That makes me know we r likeminded.

Akshaya was stunned and had an expression of total amused. She was not reacting nad Mani was taken aback, he asked her if she is listening to him. He was wondering why she is so stunned and Akshaya remarked, "Will u give me chance to get angry on u Mr. Manidhar.?" Mani was confused and asked , why she wants to be angry with him and she told him how she had planned to ask this same question of why he rejected her and get angry with him and tell him where he went wrong, but every time he answers before she asks him anything and everytime he is proved to be right. She starts respecting him much more. Mani smiled and felt quite pride in it. Akshaya smiled and knew he was quite flattered and was blushing cutely.
