Watching the auditions and mega auditions I just felt that the judges especially geeta and Farah were giving preference to classical dancer over people who did hip hop, contemporary and etc. The kid how did MJ style (whose mother got really upset and overreacted) was not chosen becasue he only did one type of dance, Some of the classical dancer i saw did classical in their auditions and mega auditions and they got entry in the final 16. Farah even said in one of her interviews that there were going to promote classical this season. This season i just saw a overload of classical performace, and most all of them got selected for mega auditions. If DID is truly trying to find a dancing star (or dance ka baap) should special accommodations be given to classical dancers?

I think Geeta has always tried to promote classical dance and wants to showcase Indian classical and folk dances. But I did not feel the judges were biased towards classical dance as such. In general I think dancers who are trained (in classical dance or any other style) can adapt better to different styles, so maybe thats why they give preference to trained dancers.

I think MJ was eliminated not because he was able to do only one type of dance, but because he did not do well in the other style he tried initially.

Just my 2 cents.

Judges are made of different talent and all 4 judges have done good job at selecting top 16...Pls do not make false accusations...

I am not trying to make false accusations, I do believe the judges are really talented. It was just my take while watching DID ill masters auditions, I can be wrong.

Sorry elephunkji I did not mean sound offensive or mean...wrong choice of words...😳 But I think Judges have tried bringing all elements when selecting these kids...But again that is my view...we have to wait and watch...many of these kids already have taken part in othe contest like B/W so judges might know their background and potential to learn other forms of dancing...
