Ranbir in next venture of Mani Ratnam

Both Mani Ratnam and Ranbir Kapoor are busy these days, as Mani Ratnam makes a hat-trick with Abhishek Bachchan with the release of Raavan, and on the other hand, Ranbir is busy with the post-production work and promotion of Prakash Jha film Rajneeti, after which he will get busy with Imtiaz Ali's Rock Star in the coming months.

In the post-production stage Raavan is slated for a June 18 release after that Ratnam will rope in RK to enact the role of an NRI who lives in London for his next film. Rensil D'Silva, who has written Raavan, will also be doing the script for this NRI based film. According to sources "Ranbir is presently busy with the promotion of Raajneeti, and once it's over, the meeting with Mani sir is likely to take place,". Mani Ratnam wanted Ranbir to enact the lead role of a contemporary Muslim.
