Forcing Myself to Watch KB

There was a time when I would eagarly await each episode of KB. I would click, double click IF and all the other online websites, and anxiously wait to see what would happen to Simi and if she and Abhi would get together. I would smile in relish and grin in excitement every time I'd get to see Abhi and Simi catch a glance, saw a few words...I felt a sadness and compassion for Simi's predicament. I could even sense Manju's frustations as a mother pressured by society, wanting the best for her daughters but struggling to convey it. Anita was likable, spoilt but a good sister nonetheless. Neetu was adorable, Anuj weak but caring, Mili was smart and RS tried to remain strudy, traditional and fair.

I liked the characters, but instead of giving each character their own storyline, the whole show is centered around Simi, Simi's sacrifices, Simi's struggles, Simi's this and Simi that. In order for any character to get a storyline,he/she had had to become mean and evil and hateful towards Simi. If not, he/she had had to become either her lap dog (think Abhi) or a messanger for information (Mili). Serious, what on earth to do the other people have to do on the show expect seek vengence on Simi? RB, Anita, Nakul, Neetu. Or hate Simi? Manju, Anuj, Anita, RB, Nakul or Neetu.
Serious. If they don't have anything to do with Simi, they get ZERO screentime - think Anusha, Mili and Abhi now.
In December 2009, I saw this happening, but then I was told I was being negative and shouldn't say anything here because people were getting upset. Had you all listened to me then and contacted Zeetv instead of crying at my posts, then you could have had some say so but now it is too late. There will be no more Abhi-Simi chemistry. You will continue to see forced scenes like Abhi buying her bangles; these scenes will be so outplace - just like the color he buys for her incomparision to watch she wears - and Simi will continue to show her unappreciation - yep, talk about a forced smile.
Simi will continue to spend her time moping about her family and how many more scenes are we going to be subjected with both of them feeding each other, staring at each other, or hugging each other because Simi needs to be comforted? That's not romantic. I am so B-O-R-E-D with this show that I have to force myself to watch it and I wait until the end of the week so I can do it in one dose - like superbad medicine.
I used to write here daily and discuss things but I can see that most of the people with whom I used to converse have gone. I guess they grew tired of the show faster than me.
The show started in August/September and it has been 6 months and 120 episodes. When it started I was recommending this show to everyone and had friends over for KB night. I can't remember the last time I recommended this show or even had a KB night.
For me the show is has ended; I may or may watch but one thing is for certain, I have no more expectation or hoped left for it. Good luck to those how LOVE this show. I cannot imagine what you see in it anymore, but to each his own.

Laila,
Just like you have said, I used to wait for this show as if there isn't anything else in this world to do.
I love the actors expressions and emoting. As I have earlier said, I am struggling to find something good as a reason to watch.
Of late Daboo has started that appreciation thread where each one is recollecting the good old scenes all of us once liked.
And just those initial three months episodes has left such a lasting impresssion on my mind, that I continue watching in spite of the lack of happy and endearing moments for Simi and Abhi.
When i saw the early promo for KB, I liked Smriti when she says...Todi moti hoon na...Shaadi nahi hui....I could relate because i am plump just like her and yes in my mom's decade long struggle to get me a partner, I have been rejected twice as i am plump. But that rejection was long time ago. Now I am doing it for various other reasons.
I could relate manjuji with my mom who wants her daughter married. Thankfully my mom doesnt behave like her.
I started out loving Simi, sympathising and empathising with her but i have ended up loving Abhi because such good characters can be found only in fiction
I have been too busy all these years to contemplate about relationships. But I have had the time since I have started seeing this.
The good things i have learnt from this show:
1.I am grateful that I have wonderful supportive parents and not the likes of Manjuji
2.I am happy I am a single daughter to my parents. And I am happy I have no siblings thanking god i was not bestowed with the kinds shown on KB
3. I may raise just one child if ever i get married
4.I never had the habit of boasting to family and friends that i have done a favour for them. Now i let them know so that they dont take me for granted.
5.I was termed as being a feminist. Now I know in what all ways I should not be treating a husband. Behaving in the true sense of my zodiac sign, i rarely and openly display love and affection publicly even with people i am close. i feel they know already. But now I know how important it is to appreciate the other person's love and concern. And how necessary it is to make your partner feel important and loved.
So as you say, i will also watch the show forcefully.
To state a fact, I have been missing you here. So be around as active as before. So what if old associations are not present, lets be together, ultimately we want the best out of this show. Whether CVs will give that pleasure to us,we dont know. But lets hope.

i think on Tv any love story fades away after soem time.

any love story is only being shown from 3 months to maximu 6 months as romantic show then wohi geesa peeta family drama.
But never give up u never know😉

Guys, there is no love story left and it was done so poorly - they rushed the romance - technically we to Abhi and Simi bunking school, a midnight conversation and then one-two encounters and then AA's wedding and a declaration of "I love you"
That was it.
The point here is that it is not just the poor Simi-Abhi storyline but the horrendous use of the characters in the show. Why does every storyline have something to do with taking their vengence on Simi?

i love you within 8 days of knowing each other. I had calculated the days based on their dialogues only.

As i think Laila its Tellywood
now for exmaple take the serial Saath Phere
every charcter was revolved arounf Saloni and she and Nahur used to solve the problems of whole world but still the channel got good TRPs hence here too Ztv is doing the same thing which actually i realy dislike.
I would like to see Abhi doing something else than just going after simi the whole time and do soemthing else.
I havent seen the serial in the start so cant comment how much romance was shown.
here the charcters are just Black and White. i mean i would like to see a real character in the show but here we get groupe's
Simi's group and the vamp or villain group😆

Watching the show makes a lot of difference. If I was watching the show at this point, I would never have even made it through one episode.

Laila, you will be back. Things on KB don't last for long. Right now the storyline is pretty predictable. But one thing I have learned about the KB CV's is that the show moves with break neck speed. Do you really want to sit through a 3 month long wedding like on CB? A 3 month divorce like on PR? My friends and I abandoned those ships a long time ago. I am glad Simi did not marry Nakul and that we didn't have to see poor Abhi turn into some Devdas type of character. I can only imagine Abhi outside of the Dagar mansion dieing of alcoholism or hanging out drinking his sorrows away with RB. I admit the, "I love you Simi" scene was rushed. But it could be much worse, they could have married her off to RB!?!?? Just hold on things will get better and you will be back here posting as ususal. Don't give up "A change is gonna come"
