Sardar - A must watch
IndiaGlitz [Thursday, February 16, 2006]

Ketan Mehta directed 'Sardar' may have released more than a decade back but the awareness around the movie has come in only very recently with the release of its original DVDs/VCDs.

The movie is a brilliant take on the journey of Iron Man of India, Sardar Patel, with Paresh Rawal coming with a flawless act. The script is tight while editing by Renu Saluja is superb. There are enough dramatic moments in this 3 hour long film takes the viewer through Sardar's early years when he first met Gandhiji and how a strong relationship developed between the two. The drama picks up considerably after India's independence when he single handedly schemed around bringing together 500 odd princely states of Indian to come up with one strong nation.

A must watch for sure. Go for it!
