I agree, it's disgusting and definitely sending the wrong message. I mean, why should Vandu suffer the consequence for something that did not even happened in the first place, ie., the rape. Even if it did happen, is marrying Ajit the only solution to save her. Tarun could have come in handy at a time like this and ask for Vandu's hand in marriage. This way his character could have develop further. My 2 cents worth

generally girls in such a situation react that way as vandu did...anywaz i think ajit will have a change in character probably. and we will have a new replacement in the villian section ajit will get replaced with shravani fully.

oh ya,ajit & vandu have married. when RA & ajit met vandu at the temple they convienced her to marry ajit as it will save her family from looking for a suitable boy for her!
