She is Manav's step mom. It was made clear when Manav's family was introduced to the show. I don't have time right now to look for the article but I will do when I get a chance. They had shown in the beginning that Savita was always interested in Manav's money and not his wellbeing. She steals money from his pockets whenever she gets a chance. What kind of a mother would do something like that to her son.
and @aliyajmirza : i dont agree with u...solochana and Vidya (aap ki antara) are much better than savita.
