Hey all, I actually wrote this oneshot using the Prem-Heer jodi....but thought I'd recycle it using Karthik-Suman.....hope you all like it....plz press thelike button and don't forget to comment.....😃

Oneshot 1

"What are you reading?" A young husband entered his bedroom, smiling charmingly at his new wife.

"A book," She replied while watching him in admiration. He looked dashing with his shaggy hair, muscular form and his sparkling chocolate brown eyes.

"Well I can see that." He smirked playfully.

He sauntered over to their bed comically, but when she took absolutely no notice he began to get frustrated that a book could possibly steal the attention of his wife from him so entirely.

"What's it about?," he pouted.

"Love."

Karthik sighs before he wraps an arm around her and kisses her on the forehead, "Why are you so distracted then?"

Finally she looked up from her book, smiling at him, "Karthik ji, can I ask you something and you promise to take it seriously."

He rested his broad shoulder against one of the posts at the foot of their bed and folded his muscled arms, "Sure." He indicated her to start.

Taking a breath, Suman asks, "What is Love to you?"

Karthik looks at her in surprise.

"What do you think love is?" Karthik asks curiously.

"Well, to me Love is you feeling giddy at the site of your soul mate" Suman said.

Karthik raises an eyebrow before he smiles and says, "That is not Love that is an infatuation."

Suman smiles challengingly before saying, "Do you have a better explanation on what love is?"

Karthik smirks handsomely then answers, "Love is a symbol of eternity. When you meet that special person you'll know because it'll just come from the heart".

"Are you thinking about when we first met?" Suman asks.

"Why, yes, I was," Karthik, said sighing, "I can remember it like it was yesterday."

Flashback

"Come on Karan" An eleven year-old Karthik, whined to his brother.

"Uff KB," replied a 7 year old Karan, "don't get your knickers in a bunch I'm coming."

"I do not have my Knick......'"Karthik began but stopped as he caught sight of a beautiful , hazel eyed girl walking towards them.

"KB...." Karan poked his brother, "Kya hogaya hai app ko?" Karan asks as he stares at his dazed brother.

Karthik stared at a 11 year old Suman for quite some time and then sighed dreamily, "Some day, I'm going to marry that girl."

Karan stared at his brother bewildered.

"Eww, shaadi........ladki se, that's so gandhi," Karan says before running off leaving a dazed Karthik behind.

End of Flashback

Karthik and Suman laughed as they reminisced that memory, "You were a hopeless bloke weren't you?" Suman said playfully pushing Karthik.

"Mmm...You know that's why you love me" Karthik responded cheekily, whilst giving her that knee weakening smile.

"Speaking of love have you any other explanations I sure do" Suman said, "Lets see.......Love is much like a wild rose, beautiful and calm,"

"Hmm....Love is a wildly misunderstood although highly desirable malfunction of the heart, which weakens the brain, causes eyes to sparkle, cheeks to glow, blood pressure to rise and the lips to pucker."

"Very descriptive' Love is an act of endless forgiveness"

"Mmm'Love is a flame that will always burn"

"That was actually sweet' Love is the condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own."

"Not bad yourself' We all want to fall in love. Why? Because that experience makes us feel completely alive. Where every sense is heightened, every emotion is magnified, our every reality is shattered, and we are flying high into the heavens. It may only last a moment, an hour, an afternoon. But that doesn't diminish its value. Because we are left with memories that we treasure for the rest of our lives."

"When did you become poet", replied Suman, " lets see... Love is an ocean of emotions entirely surrounded by expenses."

"You're the poet, Love is an irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired."

"Definitly sounds like something that would come out of your mouth...Love is when your soul crawl out from its hiding place"

"Only a romantic person would ever say that... Love is a game that two can play and both win"

"That's kind of true, Love is what you've been through with somebody."

"Now that's true...Love is being stupid together," continued Karthik.

"Are you calling me stupid because for your information I was top of each one of my classes... Love is as a friendship caught on fire. In the beginning it's a flame, very pretty, often hot and fierce, but still only light and flickering. As love grows older, our hearts mature and our love becomes like coals, deep-burning and unquenchable."

"That's deep....hmmmm.... Love is the most important thing in the world, but Cricket is pretty good too."

"Typical, Love is the greatest refreshment in life."

"Yeah right, Love is missing someone whenever you're apart, but somehow feeling warm inside because you're close."

"That's the sweetest thing that I have ever heard you say..... Love is not blind - it sees more, not less. But because it sees more, it is willing to see less."

"That was confusing, love is when you put someone on a pedestal, and they fall - but you are there to catch them"

"That was sweet too, Love is....." However, Karthik interrupted Suman.

"Okay stop," Karthik said smiling before he leaned into Suman.

"Bas ek aur, Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, and the joy in a hear,t" Suman whispered as she neared Karthik .

Karthik chuckled before he added, "Love is when you're near someone and you feel complete."

Then they closed the gap between them, both thinking the same thing 'Love is when I'm near you.'

For a moment neither said anything as they were locked in each other's intense yet passionate gaze, and then Karthik sat up and scooted closer to his wife, "Well' it's all true you know," he whispered whilst gently stroking her cheek with his fingers.

"You think?"

"I know." He repeated in his deep and throaty voice which made her shiver, "And," he leaned in for a kiss, "I know I love you."

Suman leaned in as well but at the last second pulled away again, "Oh!"

"Kya hua?"

"She kicked." A grin spread across the mother-to-be's face, as she put her hand on her stomach, "There again! It's the first time she's ever kicked!"

"She what?" Karthik jumped to his feet in joy, and then spun quickly around pointing at Suman, "Ah ha! you called it a she and not a he!."

Again, she rolled her eyes, but couldn't help but smile at his childlike enthusiasm. "Karthik, give me your hand." She placed his hand against her swelled belly.

"Wow, that's my girl." Karthik felt his child's foot press against his hand. He then leaned in, to kiss his wife, "Hai Suman meri Jaan, I love you so much."

But soon their kiss was interrupted, "Oh!"

Karthik laughed out loud and leaned down to Suman's stomach kissing it, "Don't worry, baby girl, I love you as well."

Oneshot 2

It was a windy, chilly day. A brisk wind swept the grounds, the fallen leaves dancing in the air.

A beautiful young woman with her brown almond eyes serious and dark silky hair dancing in the wind, sat at the edge of the lake beneath the huge beech tree, mulling over something. Across her, sat a young man, with shaggy brown hair and warm chocolate brown eyes, looking at her, with a serious expression on his face.

Though neither of them spoke, it was not an uncomfortable silence.

Suddenly the women looked up.

"Do you think I'm pretty?" she asked.

The man seemed to consider this for a moment. Thought lines creased in his forehead.

"No," he finally replied.

Her face fell. There was silence once more, uncomfortable this time.

"Do you even like me?" asked the women, tears welling up in her eyes.

Once more the man seemed to think, but he took less time answering.

"No."

A tear overflowed from her eyelids, coursing its way down her cheek. Behind them the harsh wind picked up, sending more leaves spinning.

She asked another question. "Would you cry if I left you?"

The man answered instantly this time. "No."

Silent tears tracked down her cheeks, and she stood up, and started walking away. Away into the wind and leaves. Away from the young man sitting across her. Away.

But the young man's arm shot out. "Don't go."

He made her turn to face him. "What's wrong?" he asked.

The bitter wind rose more sharply, sending leaves flurrying all around them. They danced around the two, but they went unnoticed.

She answered, "I asked you if you thought I was pretty, and you said no."

He smiled gently. "I don't think you're pretty, I think you're beautiful."

But she seemed to be determined to figure something out once and for all. "Then why did you say no when I asked you if you liked me?"

"Because I don't like you," came his ready reply. "I love you." He stood up and caressed her arm, and she visibly softened.

The wind had stopped.

She opened her mouth once again, but he gently covered it with his hand. "And to answer your last question, I wouldn't cry if you left me - I would die."

The women's face turned into a soft smile, and she gave him a hug. He cupped her face with his hands and softly kissed her on the lips, both smiling as they did so.

The wind picked up again, but this time it was not a cold wind, it was warm.

Then the young man dropped to his knee. "Karthik Ji, what are you doing?" she asked, curious and amused.

He didn't answer.

He dipped his fingers in his pocket, pulling out a small, dark green box.

Still a small curious smile played on her lips. Her brown silky locks danced in the breeze.

The young man opened his mouth. One could see even from a distance that he was anxious.

"Suman, shaadi karoge mujse?"

Her response was pulling him up off the ground, and kissing him.

"What does that mean?" he asked, not daring to voice his own interpretation.

"Karthik Ji, it means I said yes."

His confident grin had returned. "Why, Suman, I knew you couldn't resist me!"

She laughed.

"Suman, tum fikar mat karo, we'll make it through any obstacles together," said the young man seriously. "As long as we have each other, we'll be fine. We will make it."

She smiled, believing and trusting him completely.

He picked her up, and swung her around, both of them smiling.

One young man, with brown shaggy hair and warm chocolate eyes, and a beautiful young woman with her almond shaped eyes sparkling and hair dancing in the wind.

Two people no one would ever forget.

Two people who had found true love.
