I remember a show , " Sa Re Ga Ma " first started on TV hosted by Sonu Nigam where judges were the great legends such as Anil Biswas, O.P Nayyar ,Jagjit Singh, Bhupinder, Pandit Jasraj, Ashaji, Anandji and many more .

I want Rahul to be winner. So I want Shankar team to win. I want Shankar v/s Himesh final. I not want Shankar v/s Shaan because Shaan team has all good singer and Shankar team danger in being lost. Shankar team have two best singer Rahul and Shankar and Himesh team have two good singer Vineet and Aishwarya. So Shankar team will be won.

That show had real class and all the singers were trained and of terrific calibre.Shreya Ghoshal, Kunal Ganjawala , Sanjeevani , Shekhar(of Vishal-Shekhar duo) and many more were winners in that show.Now these are successful singers and musicians.

Do you know why?

Thats because of the calibre of the judges and the decision lying completely with them and not the audience.

I recently saw the finale of a show called "singing star" on doordarshan which had khayyam sahab, kavita krishnamurthy, bhappi lahiri and ismail darbar as judges . Amazing show with amazing songs and singers and zero dramatics.The judges only decided the winner and it was the correct judgement.By the way the host was Aabhaas.

But such shows are ignored because they do not raise crores of rupees for the channel and producers.What a shame!!!!🤢

Secondly please make a note of all Indian idol and voice of India winners and tell me how many of them have really , I mean really become stars...?Why is this happening?

This is because the winners are decided by audience polls .Most of the audience do not really understand music and give votes based on looks, personality, regionalism,item numbers , dramatics, family backgrounds etc.As a result the mediocre singers with all these above mentioned attributes win.

Abhijeet Sawant is a very successful Pop singer and quite a few songs in Hindi movies, Raja is a regular Playback singer now, Debo is amazing in Asamese/Bengali movies Playback and quite a few (not mainstream though) hindi songs in movies, Anwesa a regular playback singer in Bengali movies, Vineet sings for Himesh only though, Aish a regular child artist in gujrat and like these u have a lot of these reality show singers.. It will take time for these singers to replace current playback singers.. may be in next few years time.. Same way Shaan, Sonu replaced Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu... Cheers!! nothing personal..😃
