i dont think he is a sissy but a man who loves his family and wife very much despite that his mother is his step-mother. suryakamals character understands emotions and relationships and he respects them. he knows where to put his foot down and as the serial progresses you will see his other side

In Surya kamals position they would be very happy to accept them.
I perceive SK as a strong Character. Everything he says he practices. What you think and What You say and what you do match...that shows your strength of character not your cowardice.
It is very easy to talk back and fight and not to do that ...you need a great strength. It is not a big deal to get the girl ...but it is a big deal to respect the girls feelings. He never hid the facts of his life. Snehalatha chose him. Now his wife has to share his life. He is ready to support whatever she decides.He wants to help his family irrespective of how they are.Preeti is with him for her own reasons..he gave her freedom to leave him. How many young men likev him you see.not many thast is the reason he is the hero...not Rishi...who wants instant happiness.
