I think of all of you have summed up what I have been saying for a long time,
not Ramas. In fact I was told not to bring these issues to the fore front because i was being negative, but now all of you can see what I have been seeing since December 2009. I just happened to be very vocal about it as far back as that time period. Some people didn't want to accept it and apparently emailed the moderator to complain I was upsetting them with this information. Now who will these people blame when more people on the forum are seeing what I have seen for a long time?
I thought that after they got these two married and after last week's episodes we would see some improvement, but we've got back to the same dull and boring storyline with Simi absorbed with her family and Abhi getting kicked to the side - as if she did him a favor by marrying him. The chemistry fizzled out a long time ago for me, and it came back for a few moments last week on Tuesday and Wednesday only to go back to where it was again. Bah Humbug!!
I did get a response to my emails from one of the writers of the show. She welcomed our post on Abhi and Simi, but didn't say much else. The fact she responded to me tells me they are reading these threads. However, this does not mean they are going to do anything about it.
Ladies, accept this fact that the basis of this story is about a woman who sacrificies herself for her family. She just happens to be overweight and plain and has a guy who is 22 and in love with her. Now she is married to him. Unless you face this as the foundation of the story and watch the show with this in mind, you will realize that Abhi-Simi scenes will be at a minimum, Abhi will always play second fiddle and even after marriage Simi will sacrifice and do things for her family to win their love and approval. Other shows devote whole episodes to the romance between their leading characters, we're lucky to get 10 minutes and often it's Abhi doing all the wooing, charming and chasing. Last week we were really lucky; don't know what came over the writers that day.
Guys, I do not care for the Vicky-Neetu-Omi story, I don't care for Anuj and Anita either. If i don't get another RS-Milli- Manju scene, I will be fine with that too, but I am ready and waiting to get more Abhi-Simi stuff. I want some romance, and I want to know if they've even been physically intimate. I don't want to have scenes with them staring at each other either - that was a waste of an entire minute that could have been filled with good dialogue.
