Annual Filmfare Awards honoring Bollywood movies released between 2009-10. It took place on the 27th of February, 2010 from 9PM IST onwards at Yash Raj Studios, Mumbai.

3 Idiots have won most of the popular choice awards, followed by Firaaq, Dev D and Paa at the 55th Idea Filmfare awards.

Amitabh Bachchan got the Best Actor in Leading Role (Male) Award for the movie Paa, as he was not present, Vidya Balan received the award. Best Actor in Leading Role (Female) award went to Vidya Balan for Paa.

RD Burman Award: Amit Trivedi

Best Playback Singer (Female): Kavita Seth (Iktara, Wake Up Sid) & Rekha Bhardwaj (Genda phool, Delhi-6)

Best Playback Singer (Male) : Mohit Chauhan (Masakali, Delhi-6)

Best Music: AR Rahman (Delhi-6)

Best Story: Abhijat Joshi & Rajkumar Hirani (3 Idiots)

Best Screenplay: Abhijat Joshi, Rajkumar Hirani & Vidhu Vinod Chopra (3 Idiots)

Wow....Sum New Names for the Best Actress categories and even for the Best Actor....never expected Ranbir to get it...! And I thought Rocket Singh flopped miserably ??
