coming to Abhi and simi, ......I quiet liked the uncomfortableness they had between them when they both were there alone in the room. howmuch ever u know a person when u are alone together that also the first time after marraige there will naturally be an awkard feeling and also both of them diddnt know what to say to each other , also the way abhi said i will just come and simi shakes her head.they really showed the uncomfortble feeling they had.
Also i am not expecting any romantic moment so early. as they have to be used to each other first.

Agree with both observations, and lovely posts both! The cast is very good and tries to rise above the tacky script, when given a rare well-written scene they shine all the more. I liked the SimBhi akwarness and sort of abruptness too, coz they haven't really been in such an intimate situation before. Sometimes, when we are overwhelmed we don't know what to say and end up saying commonplace stuff.
Anyway if I were Abhi I would be so cheesed off by Simi's insentivity towards me that I wouldn't feel in the least tender!

The entire scene was truly an eulogy....what an apt word for the stupendous scene. It had everything.....a father's pride on her daughter, a mother's long suppressed affection, disappointment, anger, a sister's love and a brother's guilt and residue of long lost bonding. The instant i lost all hope from the creatives after watching the disappointing scene between simbhi, that scene came into play and took me to a world of nostalgia, the times when i used to yearn for watching kb. Thanks to the topic starter for describing the scene so nicely.

Superb review of the episode today Laila! Oh! What an episode that was, I was taken back to the times where I used to long to watch KB.
I was so caught up in replying to comments from today morning that I could neither watch this episode peacefully, nor I got to write anything about todays episode till now. But I did enjoy todays episode though I was frustrated by turn of events in the forum off late.

I have no interest in Neetu and her dramas. I care less for how much of hell she wants to create for herself at the Dagars. Neither am I interested in Abhi & Simi romance until they grow some confidence and depth in the characters Simi and Abhi respectively.

As you identified majority of todays episode was of that scene, but when that scene started, I was wondering now this Diary, is that something similar to those Simi's double degrees certificates and the PhD thesis(?), but then I could forgive for the drama that followed.

Devyani didn't have much to do.
Waseem and Hunar were apt. I don't know why they play ping-pong with Anuj. Waseem has good potential and why can't they utilize that, is something I can't understand.
I wasn't very happy with Banwari's diction when he started reading Simi's diary/childhood assignment, but it was ok because what he kept reading later on was clear and I was just listening to him. My full concentration was on Manju.

Today it was Alka's day and she rightly takes away all the adulation. I was just awestruck with her. Here was a mother who just a few hours back has announced to the world that she is going to perform the last rites of the eldest daughter, but when she sees how happy her husband was for their eldest daughter, she had lost half the battle. She was crying with mixed emotions. Mixed emotions of deception, anger, frustration, failure and loss.

How aptly you call that scene a Eulogy.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ It was an eulogy for a daughter that Manju wanted to be thought as dead. The way she breaks down even more when RS reads out the lines about heart, blood and pluse, Simi will always remain as Manju's pulse until Manju's last breath. Manju cannot erase that how much ever she tries.

When Manju tells Anita, oh! you don't have to worry about going out in the street, I wanted to tell Manju, "oh! is that so Manju? Simi's deception made you this confident? Be like this for everything, give two hoots for the society who will not be there when you need them."

Finally Simi's book move into RS' room and out goes Manju. With this she would be left with only quarter more of her battle. Oh the clothes can be handed over to Simi when RS' goes to greet his daughter and SIL at her new abode. If they don't , then Abhi can always get her a new wardrobe.

I would like to mention the others in todays episode - Actor who plays Anusha is getting better, as I see some improvement, could be growing confidence in the actor with her increasing role.
I wasn't really convinced with Abhi (not Neil). For a person who just brought home his lover(or wife) after so much of drama, he needed more compassion towards his partner.

Creatives really made me disappointed again with Simi, very bad screenplay in those parts.
Simi and Abhi's was supposed to be a tender moment, but it lacked to evoke my sympathies, it was just very average. The dialogues and the screenplay didn't do justice for that scene.
It did look like the creatives have all the intention of returning RB again.

I liked the lines highlighted above in your post in blue.

I think 'superb' word will not do justice, so, let me rephrase it - What an awesome write-up for an awesome scene. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Kudos for a well written post.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ Kudos also go for the creative team for that scene.๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

All my thoughts in the highlighted parts !! Somewhere manju is really sad that she did say those things to Simi.. She was really unhappy with what is happening
'And as for a s Anuj i thought the same ping pong banadiya !!,,

My take also is that let them make this Simi's next phase in life and then improve in her character and the way she sees Abhi as her partner and a person she can trust anbd she can build confidence in.. I hope these CV's read what is written and give us no room to critizise the character and make us feel that the main character has been etched properly for the future storyline

First, thank you for the awesome post and for recognizing how the speech was symoblic of a Eulogy for Simi.
You make some really important points. Waseem is an under-rated actor. He's brilliant as Anuj (and quite cute at the same time๐Ÿ˜‰. I've always thought of him as the best looking actor on KB. He's not utilized well and I agree, they do play ping pong with him. I think if they wrote better lines for him we good get better insight into his character. He's a very weak and easily lead man who blames others for his failings and refuses to hold accountable for those who do wrong.
Like you I have never cared for the Vicky-Neetu-Omi drama; it is so painfully dull and boring too watch. I would rather see a romance occur between Neetu and Nukul that would be of greater interest to me. One where both partners are out to get each other; it would be darn good chemistry with Neetu finding out that Nukul set up Vicky. Nukul is so angry his hatered and Neetu's bitterness would be like a volcanic eruption if they came together.๐Ÿ˜†
I too could not understand Manju's sudden "I don't care what the neighbors think anymore" but perhaps since she is doing Simi's funeral rites she doesn't care what the neighbors think anymore.
I too agree, Simi and Abhi chemistry needs to happen otherwise I too won't care about the romance either but I hope that after today's episode (a really plesant surprise) we might see that return. Honestly 3-months of melodrama and a dreadful Bollywood closure has exhausted all of us. Now all we want is the romance on condition that it is like it was BEFORE Nukul and Co joined the show.

actually i wanted them to read more at least the way she sacrifices her happiness for her family and manju realising her loss....... but then they stopped there it self.
infact when RS was reading it simis abscence was really felt in the house and also her innocense in the letter or the writings.
coming to Abhi and simi, we cant expect a nice scene or a romantic scene for them now. imagine the sadness or the depression she will be facing as her mother has disowned her . she dosent know what her father will think about her .
I quiet liked the uncomfortableness they had between them when they both were there alone in the room. howmuch ever u know a person when u are alone together that also the first time after marraige there will naturally be an awkard feeling and also both of them diddnt know what to say to each other , also the way abhi said i will just come and simi shakes her head.they really showed the uncomfortble feeling they had.

About neetu forget her . shes crazy , wonder what dram she will create now..... actually wanted her to tell daadi that shes pregnant and because of her simi was ready to get married to neetu. so in that way daadi and nakul might understand simi, lets see what happents today.
Our dear RB really has plans (and am sure not a very good plan) for abhi and simi.๐Ÿ˜‰.
waiting for RBs chaal.

Well written perspective and take on the first night together in Abhi's bedroom. You can sense that awkwardness today with Abhi desperately trying to cut the tension and cheer Simi up. It's refreshing to see Simi actually respond rather than continue to sulk. It is the realization of Abhi getting thrown out of his house and disowned by his father because of her as well that I hope will be a way for her to realize how much he has done for her and that even though he's been rejected by his father, he continues to do what he can for her. Perhaps she will mature and realize what he has done for her.

I am always who I am; you just like the post I wrote, that's all. You have to realize that I am going to write what I think and feel and you should learn to realize that there are going to be things said that you will not like about this show and that does not make me wrong either. Life is like this and it is part of growing up to learn to embrace different viewpoints, learn from each other and grow.
