Did the Sharmas tell the Trivedis the truth about why Jyoti couldn't be there, or did they cook a cock&bull story about why she wasn't?

Yeah, it was rude, although I can understand why Jyoti didn't answer it - she knew that if called, she couldn't refuse, and she'd be violating the Vashisth demand on Sudha. But she does owe Mahesh-ji an apology.

Incidentally, were Uday & Sudha the only Vashisths there, or did the others come? And Sudha had her own phone, and didn't borrow Uday's? If that's the case, she can always manually dial Jyoti, and not keep her on speed dial.

Well, I could see only Uday and Sudha in the occasion. I dont think the other vashishts would care to come..

When Mahesh ji asks Padma madam where Jyoti is, she says she is on the way and shows that ridiculous Padma smile she gives when she is lying...

But Pankaj had promised Jyoti that he'd be there, no? Or will it be that tomorrow, Jyoti decides to turn up towards the end, and that's when the other Vashisths too arrive?

I dont think he promised anything...not sure.. cant be bothered what that loser promises or marries or decides or moans about..

He could start a "Pankaj dulhania le jaayenge" thingy and see how it goes.. these ndtv match making shows are for the losers' category anyway. lol

You're a hoot today - Pankaj dulhaniya le jayenge 🤣🤣 - after all, if Rahul, why not Pankaj? And you could line up the world's richest and ugliest women - richest to satisfy cm, and ugliest so that they wouldn't care that they are marrying a blind dude - and have Pankaj run a TV show from 7:00-7:30pm IST

Actually, in the Feb 16th update, if you read, Jyoti after getting the gift from Pankaj asked if he'd come, and Pankaj agreed. So the Vashisths were obviously told by the Sharmas that Jyoti won't be there.

My next prediction - when CM comes to invite the Sharmas for Pankaj's wedding - and you can bet that she will, the way she invited the Sharma's for Uday-Neelam's engagement (which turned out to be Uday/Sudha's wedding) - Jyoti will be the one to insist to them that they go, and to add insult to injury, take their new bahu Poonam w/ them. Wanna bet? And she'll point out how enthusiastically she worked on Uday's marriage to Neelam when she was part of that household. 🤣

Utter stupidity, as usual of course. Maybe Jyoti is stupid enough to make such a huge sacrifice, but her entire family has proved themselves be bigger idiots for agreeing to Jyoti's foolish demands.

Actually, after seeing the episode, it's not clear that Jyoti ignored it. She overheard Mahesh-ji say that w/o Jyoti, the marriage won't go on, so whether she likes it or not, Jyoti knows that she just has to be there. She won't even tell the Trivedis the truth of what the Vashisths (actually CM) has demanded, she wants to protect their honor as well. So she's now in a corner.

But while she may have been willing to sacrifice herself, now she's overheard Mahesh-ji say that w/o her, the wedding won't go on. And assuming that she cares about Mahesh-ji's honor, she'd also have to keep his promise to his people that Jyoti would dance there for the occasion. So she'll have to turn up there.

Why can't Uday get the message of how Jyoti is being missed even by the dulhan's people, and call Sudha and make a clean exit, and ask Jyoti to rejoin her party? Sudha won't be nearly as sad missing it as she is right now @ Jyoti missing it. A few days ago, she was regreting having married Uday, as that was what was forcing Pankaj to marry Neelam. If she was willing to sacrifice her lifetime happiness w/ Uday, wouldn't she be far more willing to sacrifice a day's happiness w/ Deepu? Jyoti gives her a lot less credit than she's due.

Anyway, my bet - Jyoti will turn up for the wedding - she doesn't want Deepu's marriage not to proceed.

Mahesh-ji says it's not a problem, and they are not going to start w/o her, no matter what! 🥳🥳🥳 Kalpana relays the message to Jyoti, telling her that the marriage isn't going to happen unless she is there.

Sushma calls Jyoti and tells her that it's okay to come, since Sudha's sasural people have left. Jyoti arrives @ the parking lot and bumps into a car. CM is still chatting in the parking lot, since she hasn't yet left, and is shocked to see Jyoti there.

This is precisely why Jyoti should have gone w/ her family's decision, and not bothered inviting the Vashisths. Unnecessarily, she complicated this.
