I think KB in general is trying to stand apart from other tv soaps: first by shooting on location in Delhi while almost all others shoot in Mumbai studios and locales, second by depicting a couple where the woman is 8 years older than the man. I admit the concept of the leading gal being older than the leading guy is what grabbed me to stay interested in this show. I wanted to see how things would turn out for Simbhi and what challenges they'd have to face, and also how the story would be handled in a society where this type of age disparity is not the norm.

My personal belief is that if there is love and trust between the couple than age should not be an issue at all.

hi everyone.......hope all are doing fine.......a very Happy New Year to all of you.........i agree interesting article and I too heard this term for the first time....cougar couple........not heard of many such couples in real life atleast apart from these celebrities.....and i agree with Raksha these double standards in our society is pathetic.......and Laila I agree with you totally......what did a young handsome rich guy like abhi see in an elderly not so good looking woman like simi...totally beats us....but its this thrill factor and their chemistry which attracted me in the first place in this show.........when i went home not one of them whom I know watches this show...so that means the makers can't fool Indians easily 😉..its we NRIs i guess who have been taken for a ride😳...anyways i used to watch back home and Mom too along with me saw a few episodes......just loved the way RS stands up for them and their relationship........but somehow I fear slowly I am beginning to lose interest though not totally and since now I would be interested in joining in the discussions will still watch it..........I really don't know when simibhi will be happy together 😕......really waiting to watch that........
