You can have tons of them at your workplace, in your college, wherever you hang out. But the frequency at which you come across people who you think loves you and deserves your love is much more less. So, I'd chuck out a friend to keep my love if the situation calls for it.

Oh, if it's my best friend who I'm gonna have to ditch, I'd still do it coz you might as well make another best friend but you won't find another love who you think is worth ditching your friend for coz you can't get someone better once you've had the best. ;)

And I agree that love is ne plus ultra of friendship. Love offers friendship, caring sharing, all that friendship offers plus much more.

Actually I have seen people playing favorites and thats worse than being a fence-rider for a friend, believe me. It does nothing but hurt the one they play favorites against. So I agree with cloddy that show trust in your friends to solve their differences and with you too that if situation is getting worse than improving then the fence-riders need to pitch in and help make amendments.
