Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: Tulsi's homecoming comes with a heartbreaking surprise

After completing her jail sentence, Tulsi returns to Shantiniketan after a decade, only to find the once united Virani family living separately. Choosing not to reveal herself immediately, she quietly enters the mansion in disguise to understand how much has changed during her absence.

Tulsi bids an emotional farewell to prison

Today's episode begins with Tulsi speaking to Arundhati inside the prison. She reminds her of the hardships she has faced throughout her life and recalls the painful memories that once haunted both of them. Tulsi gently tells Arundhati that she was never responsible for her child's death and urges her to stop carrying the burden of guilt.

Unable to control her emotions, Arundhati breaks down in tears. Tulsi also reflects on the difficult days when Arundhati and the other inmates had made her prison life miserable. Instead of holding on to resentment, she chooses to forgive everyone and encourages them to become better people.

Meanwhile, Karan packs his belongings and asks Nandini to leave Shantiniketan with him. He believes there is no point staying in a house that reminds them of constant pain. Nandini, however, refuses to leave. She says she cannot abandon the family because she still has responsibilities towards everyone living under the same roof.

Their disagreement soon turns into a heated argument. Despite Karan's repeated requests, Nandini remains firm and decides to stay back at Shantiniketan.

The story then takes a 10 year leap.

Tulsi completes her prison sentence and prepares to leave. The inmates gather to bid her farewell, creating an emotional atmosphere inside the jail. Arundhati, who was once feared by everyone, is now shown as a calm and compassionate woman after the transformation brought about by Tulsi's guidance.

Before leaving, Tulsi advises the inmates to choose honesty, kindness and hope as they rebuild their lives outside prison. Her words leave everyone emotional, and several inmates struggle to hold back their tears while saying goodbye.

Tulsi returns to a changed Shantiniketan

Outside the prison, the jailer asks Tulsi why no member of the Virani family has come to receive her. Tulsi calmly reveals that she never informed them about her early release because she wanted to return on her own terms.

She hires an auto rickshaw and asks the driver to take her to Juhu. During the journey, Tulsi silently looks outside the window as memories of her family and home flash before her eyes. She wonders whether Shantiniketan has remained the same or whether everything has changed during her absence.

On reaching the mansion, Tulsi is left shocked.

The once united Virani house now stands physically divided into two separate sections. Damini lives in one portion of the property with her family, while Nandini and Niyati occupy the other side. The separation leaves Tulsi heartbroken as she realises how deeply the family has drifted apart over the years.

Tulsi enters the Virani house in disguise

Standing outside the gate, Tulsi becomes emotional as old memories come rushing back. She notices that there are now two Tulsi plants in the courtyard, symbolising the division within the family itself.

Before she can enter, a security guard stops her. He bluntly tells her that the people living inside have no mother, leaving Tulsi visibly shaken. His words make her realise just how much time and distance have changed the family.

Moments later, another person mistakes Tulsi for a catering staff member and asks her to assist with preparations inside the mansion. Rather than correcting the misunderstanding, Tulsi quietly accepts the opportunity.

Wanting to understand the family's present situation before revealing herself, Tulsi decides to enter Shantiniketan in disguise. She believes it is important to first observe how the Viranis have been living during the past ten years and whether her return will heal old wounds or reopen them.

The episode ends with Tulsi stepping inside her home without revealing her identity, setting the stage for an emotional reunion and fresh conflicts as the divided Virani family remains unaware that its matriarch has finally returned.
