Nahar, Saloni, her career, et al

I have been reading the wonderful updates and the story is undoubtedly taking a surprising turn.

I do hope Nahar and Saloni don't break up as he is so caring (at least presently) but I would LOVE Saloni to have a career. I am tired of these shows on Zee where they portray a working woman to be a homebreaker. With the exception of Astitva, almost all Zee serials show that and also show crap about a girl becoming pariah to her parents after marriage and it gets on my nerves when they do that. What is wrong if she pursues her career also despite being married 😡 ? Nothing wrong in being a housewife but wish they would not show a career person as being a homebreaker or someone who is 'bad'..

It would be wonderful if Nahar continues to be the caring, loving husband that he is and ENCOURAGES Saloni in her Singing career - alongwith encouragement from Saloni's parents (who have never encouraged her in her dreams till now😡)! That would be something different that a Zee show will be showing. After all Saath Phere is trying to send across different messages about dowry, bias about dark skinned people, etc.. Alongwith these why don't they show that a career woman can be a successful homemaker too and that encouragement from spouse and parents certainly play a big role! And they should show Saloni maintaining a close relationship with her parents too (no pariah crap for once)..Then I would call Saath Phere a success - but I doubt that Saath Phere will go in the lines I am hoping it will..😭

totally agree, it will become a standaart soap if the marraige will fail. WHY is't that a marraid woman cannot have a career and a good marraige.....
I still don't understand...

Exactly my point Shali!! Astitva was the only serial which showed that a woman can have a career and a marriage. Kashish was also good because Piya's marriage broke for other reasons - not career. (It is a different issue that Abhi cheated on her in Astitva but that again had nothing to do with her career, and anyway, they got together again and he realized his mistake). Being a career person and so close to my parents I feel strongly about such crap portrayal. Sorry for my strong language..

Anyway, hopefully in the end they will show Saloni well settled in her career and home:-)

I did notice that right now Nahar is quite encouraging about Saloni's music/career, etc.. Hope that continues after marriage.

I do not want saloni and nahar to break up, Nahar is so good for saloni, very understanding person, i just hope they will have saloni persue the singing career while she is married to Nahar and him encouraging her all the way to the top. Something different, not like usual soaps, have affairs and go from one person to another. if salond does not stay married to nahar then the purpose of this show is not there. You have to work at you saat phere, not throw them away at first oppertunity.

Exactly. That's what I wanted to say too in my first post.. Also, if they show Nahar encouraging Saloni in her career that will be another BIG difference between this show and most of the crap they show where a woman just quits her job and stays at home JUST because she is married. I am not opposed to women being housewives, but I am opposed to the way they show working women as being home breakers everytime. So silly and unreal.

Agreed...let them show that how her life shapes up with such an understanding husband...let it be a show with a difference.

Which is also fine, dear..But the point is charaterizing a person as bad or a homebreaker just because they are working is what I can't digest on TV. And after all Saloni loved music so it would be nice to show Nahar encouraging her in that:-)
