So, were you being Mayur16's mouthpiece? I didn't see it that way and just respected it as your own opinion. I mentioned my reason, but if you still can't accept it, I can do nothing about it.

Waise can't agree more to whatever you guys have said. I agree to Nureat's logic as well as yours.
Being serious about a soap, i meant the amount of interest one has in watching it. 😉

Thanks for getting my logic. I sincerely mean it😊. Oh...so you meant interest when you said serious.....going by that account I am not serious then because I watch the show as a time pass, that's it😆

Hope Mahi can be assertive soon enough and goes even to the extent of fighting for herself... I mean, not to put stealthily an article in the folder to be "only" considered when that column should have been hers and those two witches @ the office.. lol

And I wish they'd shown Mahi's Dadi again....she's fun too.....all in all, barring Sid...they didn't show more of my fav. characters....so I was a little disappointed...hoping for better things in the next epi.

All Hail, Mahi Dadi 😊 I'd like to see more of her too 😊

all the annoying Sona-Mona stuff irritated me a LOT....why can't they do something about these characters?? Will they just be shown to be this 2D only?? :S

I think these gals are destined to be stereotyped, that's the only way they will help Mahi along on her way. But yeah, it would be nice to see the other side of their characters.. if they have one that is! But right now, it's fun to dislike them so let's hope they don't become saintly too soon 😃
(I work in a magazine publishing firm myself and most of the fashion editors are exactly like that, the clothes, the talk, the 'oh-we-didn't-see-you-standing-there' attitude and the 'OMG! what is she wearing expressions'... did I mention the clothes?)

And as far as Sona and Mona are concerned, I'll agree that they ARE rather exaggerated characters....but I think yes, there are ppl in the world whose sole objective is to obsess over themselves and make fun of others....I don't really mind their presence that much, only I hope in future Mahi answers back and shuts them up.....I'd like to see a REAL bitchy fight between Sona-Mona and Mahi...

Agreed.. such shallow people also have a right to live on our planet (or our TV screens), no matter how dim they may be 😆

I'm totally looking forward to the day Mahi calls them scrawny stick insects... 😍

Foot note:
Mahi's sister is suffering from a serious case of: The whole world revolves around me syndrome 😃 I hope she get's over herself but I doubt it will happen anytime soon, after all Mrs. Delhi banna jo hai!

Okay......frankly speaking, I'm totally confused.....I mean i found all the posts logical....including my own....so I ended up liking all of them...And now, when I'm done reading all those posts and replies, I have no idea at all: whether Mahi's sis is realistic or not, whether Mahi Way is realistic or not, whether shaketheback was my mouthpiece or not, whether I'm serious abt serials or not, whether Sona-Mona are OTT or not.......

I know that sounds fickle of me, but that's that. Everyone here is too good at character analysis.....so my views were like swaying with each post😆😆😆....well,I'll make my final take after the third epi....maybe by then enough of all the characters will be revealed and I can arrive at some firm conclusion...!

But really, really nice to see such a happening discussion....'twas great!

I can understand that they are stereotypes of materialistic, shallow, catty women....but honestly even as THAT, they can be sketched out MUCH better....for example, in the show Ugly Betty which MW does bear some similarities to, they have the characters of that office receptionist and the gay guy...sorry I'm forgetting their names right now :S lol...both of them are mean, shallow and catty towards Betty...but they are still more enjoyable to watch even in their mean ways cuz their antics are not AS OTT and brainless as those of Sona-Mona...honestly one of them can't even act...and the second woman just keeps shrieking in this high-pitched tone...can anyone explain the point of the scene from the previous epi when she is randomly saying to Mahi, "Makhni, Malai kofta, blah blah'...so she's trying to blurt out names that start with "M"...but it was SUCH a mehhh scene....atleast to me....I would LOVE to hate them...but at this point they just ANNOY me...lol....for how lamely they've been sketched as characters.....maybe things will improve in the future :S
