Besides, that's in the past and as long as he loves only Simi now how should that matter. Even Anita was Anuj's girlfriend before they decided to marry, does that make Anuj a cad?

I truly hope the CVs won't destroy RS's character the way they done with others - he is shown as a level headed perceptive man who can tell genuine from shallow. How can he be taken in by Anita? Usually one reacts in the other extreme - when you have been wronged by someone you are unlikely to believe anything she says.

Besides as a self-confessed atheist (he doesn't have faith in Mata Rani), RS is already sort of non-conservative himself. I can appreciate if his disapproval stems from the consederable gap in age and background, and of course the feud between the families.

Lastly, I will never understand our typical Indian mentality of confusing a conservative v/s modern outlook with one's character/morality. There is no real corelation between having girlfriends, wearing modern clothes or going to the disc and being a bad person. Some of the worst bahus in real life are sari-clad sindoor-sporting homely types. And some of the most crooked businessmen are pious Tirupati-visiting family types!

Would be interesting to read members' views on the last mentioned.

It's a pity though that he we didn't see them earlier; the show would have been more interesting as it would have made Simi (and the writers) work harder in explaining why he fell for her.

By the way, the Anu is really cute. She's good competition for Simi. In front her, Simi does look old and frumpy.
