Yeah, but she was there for like 3 months or so, I'm talking about people who were there for a hadnful of episodes.

Oh yeah, played by Rajeev Khandelwal.

There was a female officer in the early years who was also on the show for a very short time. I can recall neither the character's name nor the name of the actress. She used to appear on Dastaan and also hosted a cookery show on Zee TV for a while. This is the actress I'm talking about:




BTW, Rajeev Khandelwal's character's name was ACP Prithviraj.

Really!!! She was part of CID Core Team?? We might get to see her soon. I remember this actress but I don't know her name.

Yeah I have fond memories of the 90s and all these actors I remember from that era. In most cases I can recall the faces but the not the names. Back then there were a lot of good shows on TV, not like the K-soap pandemic of the 2000s.

One thing that irritates me whenever I think of those times is the lack of any effort to make desi tv shows available on DVD or something. There was no effort back in the day and very little even now. Forget any home video releases: there's endless information out there on American/British programs from the cast to episode details, trivia, air dates, behind the scenes stuff and so on. And when it comes to desi shows: nothing. It's like they vanish off the face of the Earth when they stop airing. 😔 Very few of them get officially released in some format. and there's so little, almost no, information on the shows available anywhere.

Maybe the daily soaps are hard to keep track of, fine. But there's no excuse when it comes to the weekly shows. There are so many of these shows that I'd like to see again: Saturday Suspense, Thriller at 10, Shapath, Commander I & II, X-Zone, Cover Story, and so much more. 😒

Thank God that Rajshri is at least showing some effort. Although lately their focus has been on newer programs rather than old ones. Oh well.

I so agree with you. I am one of those forutunate people to have been part of the DD Gold Era. I have seen roads empty when Ramayan used to be aired. At that time sometimes a colony would have one TV and every one saw one channel together. Now there are hundred channels, almost every home have more than one TV set but still nothing worth watching. I just keep switing channels whenever I am watching TV. These Daily soaps ruined the whole face of India TV. earlier DD would grant the producer permsions of just 13 Episodes and you hae to finish you story in those 13 episodes. You had to give justifications for extention. Even Shows like Mahabharat and Ramayan had to go for extentions and if irrespective of how popular they were they had to assure DD Official that they not increase episodes just for the heck of it.

yeah but then she was a traitor like Daksh. then she ws maybe sent to jail fr destroying the evidence. i think. i dont remember clearly but now who can give a list of all the female officers in CID till date? including forensics! 😉
