The Year End 'Thank Yous...'

The end of a year is a wonderful time to reflect on the previous year, reflect on our successes and yes, even reflect on our failures. Hopefully, you have many more successes than failures to reflect on. Typically, when we reflect on our failures, we establish an action plan so that we don't repeat those failures. Ponder a minute over a simple question...

Did you thank associates, friends, and family...anybody who helped you in need??

If yes...that's wonderful...if not then here is why one should thank sincerely... the importance of saying 'Thank You'...

Show your appreciation when it is deserved. When people do something nice for you, tell them thank you. They have found you important enough to go out of their way to improve your life in some way, so show them you are gracious for that.

Perhaps you went out of your way to help someone or just be nice, and when they don't say thank you, you feel like you wasted your time. Don't make others feel that way. When someone takes the initiative to improve your life, acknowledge them by showing your gratitude.

Being thankful however goes a bit beyond just a human race interaction. Showing gratitude on a spiritual level is very important as well. Make it known to god or higher power you believe in that you are thankful for the things they have given you.

Simple things add up in your life when you stop and realize how much you really have to be thankful for.

Stop at some point today and consider the blessings you have been given. Recognize how much beauty there is around you and be appreciative of it. When others go out of their way to do something kind for you, tell them you are thankful and respect their gesture. Becoming a better human being involves showing gratefulness...
