Like so many of you guys, I did squeeze in a bit of TV time at 10pm on Dec16, to watch Laughter Ke Phatke. And I gotta say…..What a faaltoo show!! 😔 The performances were sooo ghisee-pitee and commonplace. Ali Asgar has done that Hema Malini act before (I don't remember where but i've seen him do it) and it was plain boring to see him at it again, no matter how much Vikrant Massey said "Alibhai you rock yaar". Agreed, Neha-Vibha-Vikrant were adorable 😊….main reason i tuned into the show on Dec. 16. But popular guests can't really lift a show that fundamentally poor and jaded in terms of content. Star One has brought groundbreaking, genuinely funny shows like The Great Indian Laughter Challenge….and now they bring this?? 😡
And tell me honestly, people, what did you think of the much-hyped ITA event? Agreed, I didn't watch most of it….but i did catch the Dhan Te Nan sequence (i don't know who the dancers were…the girl was dressed like a junglee!! 😆 ) and the Vibha-Vikrant part. Did u people really like the V'n'V dance pieces? I had expected so much yaar, especially after watching Massey's awesome "Khuda Jaane" performance at the New Talent Awards show earlier this year. Seems like, iss economic recession ke chalte, the ITA-wallahs had decided to cut costs by hiring kam-paison-ke choreographers and costume designers!! 😛 What else can explain the just-about-average choreography and gaudy, garish costumes? At what was being called the TV industry's "biggest event"?….The only thing that saved the day for the dance was the awesome chemistry that Vibha and Vikrant share. 👍🏼 For those of u who watched the entire show, tell me, how was the rest of it? (Mujhe to laga, Ranbir Kapoor was looking bored and Katrina Kaif had a couldn't-care-less expression on her face!! 😉😃 )
Will someone pleeeeeez give Vibha Anand and Vikrant Massey stuff that does justice to their talent? They deserve better, much better, than saving sinking shows and salvaging lacklustre dance numbers with their presence….
