The beginning of MJHT, MayUr were different, unique and charming in their own ways. We never saw such a love story in any other show before. Nupur was bubbly, sweet, friendly, filmy, carefree, but along with that, she was also smart, sensible, intelligent and caring. Mayank was a nerd, cool, handsome, the dude, no-nonsense guy, to whom, what people felt about him made no difference. He had the typical "I give a damn" attitude. His sarcasm was his USP. Whether it be with Dia, or Uday, or even Nupur for that matter. And these two falling in love, should have been the most beautiful thing ever.
It should have been, after falling in love, MayUr learning to open up to each other, trying to sort out their differences in tricky situations. Mayank would be the one for whom date would only mean Study date. And Nupur would try to make that study date interesting for them. Nupur would speak to Mayank about her dreams and aspirations, while Mayank would speak to Nupur about the reason why he's so sadu. His family angle could have been brought into the picture. Seeing this couple in love was like a dream for me, but it turned out to be the worst nightmare ever.
Mayank started behaving like a joru ka ghulam. And Nupur started behaving like an insensitive girl. Mayank gave up on his studies just to please Nupur with cutouts, and Nupur's filmy demands only kept increasing with the time. Nupur never behaved understanding with Mayank, and Mayank never tried to make Nupur understand her mistakes. Instead, he always gave in to her demands. And all Nupur did was think about marriage, and Mayank also gave in to that demand of hers. This is not the Mayank and Nupur I loved.
The old MayUr, I loved the most. They were unique, different, and charming. This present Mayank and Nupur are almost unrecognizable.
Sorry to say, but for me, somewhat, MayUr have lost their charm now.
And try as hard as they may, MayUr are much beyond repair now. And I solely thank the CVs for that.
No offence intended. This is just my POV. Now after this, it's upto the CVs, what they wanna do about their lead couple.
