Totally Dissapointed with DPL

Over the years we have seen so many good shows on television, like Nach Balieyh and the one which comes on Sony itself Jhalak Dikhlaja...and then it was Dance India Dance on zee tv...but DPL has been really dissapointing since day one...first of all it was so hyped for no reason...and then names like Madhuri and Shamak and Rani being associated with it...and when the show started what we see it ONE: complete fakeness on the sets! TWO: BIAS AND WRONG DECISIONS by our very own Rani jee...THREE: the dance guru i.e. Shamak is sitting there and doing nothing...at first he could use agree and disagree thing and now he doesnt even do that...because his desicions are taken by any of the coaches or rani...this show lacks a lot of things which can't be pointed out first of all the format is also confusing and bad...and then even after having some really good performances this show seems dead and dull! Some of the acts to look like they have been inspired by DID including the format...This show is not at all good...The judgements are more like sugar quoted things for the favorites some of the dancers haven't had the chance to come up in the light...people don't comment on dance techniques rather they keep on commenting on how the girl/guy looks...to much NON CONVINCING, NON REAL, COMPLETELY LOOKING FAKE DRAMA AT LITTLE NON SENSE/RUBBISH THINGS...EVEN THIS RANI FIASCO OF HER LEAVING THE SHOW DOESN'T LOOK MUCH CONVINCING NOR DOES IT MAKES ANY SENSE SINCE IT MUST HAVE ALREADY BEEN TOLD TO HER THAT ONE TEAM WOULD GET ELIMINATED...and its obvious that she will come back since she much have gotten her money from the producers! THIS SHOW IS A COMPLETE MESS...

agree with most of the things except 2

1) the formate of DPL and DID are as different as chalk and cheese
2) the show is interesting to some extent..i started watching because i became a fan of harshall and vitthal during their nach baliye days..but now i like most of the coaches and dancers (cant stand stand pappu and swaroop)

Completely Agree with your Analysis !! Couldn't agree more ,, still watch it though but TIVO it so i fast forward a lot of the rubbish biased talk - the judging is so biased by Rani - or maybe to give her the benefit of the doubt - she sees it live so maybe it looks diffrent there - who knows but overall - not as enjoyable as other dance shows - recent memories tell me i enjoyed DID the most - can't remmeber my reactions to the older NB and JDLJ

Agree with u fully.... DPL..is not a working show for sony....let's see DID 2 from dec 18th...i m sure it will be better than DPL....

My only complaint is not much variety. Always group dance, duet and solo rounds. I was big fan of harshal-vitthal but they always use Karthik for Solo. Uma-Gaiti always using Vinaisha. There has to be a rule that same contestetent can not be repeated so many times...

I think the lack of rules is what is killing the show. Yes some contestants get many many chances for repeat appearance. I think every team has favorites who appear again and again in solos and duets.

I am from Pakistan so I don't have anything against any zone so as an outsider I will say this ... the coaches were threatened by south zone from day one . south zone have best dancers even better than western zone ..... so they did their utmost to give them low score today in individual and duet round south zone were far far better than uthar ,eastern and desi but still south zone got low score .... wake up India .... bec thats cheating going on there ..... Poor soouth zone :( i love their dancers

I actually like this show coz its a fresh concept and there is actually less drama when compared to previous dance shows.

i agree dpl is a bad initaition of DID.
